I really liked Ralph's enthusiasm, he REALLY got into it when battles were happening or crashes. But I also realize why others didn't care for him. Diffey did well at the few rounds last year and I look forward to hearing more of him this year.

So three pages in and the only reason given why people don’t like Diffey’s commentary, is that he’s not as excitable as Ralph?!

Love Diffey! Carmichael sucks and is just dying to belt out info and be relervant. Says hit his marks way to often and Will looks haggard this year and says Kun grat choo lations waaaaay too much, whole experience besides Diffey.. Yes Carmichaels better but needs 2 more seasons/seasoning if he's to stays . Cameras: they miss everything for laps.

The broadcast formula is almost the same for every pro sport, there are different jobs and all carry a very different capability/responsibility.

Pro Talker and play by play (they carry the entire broadcast) ie: Joe Buck, Al Micheals, Diffey
Color commentary ( ex-pro perspective of having been a champion in the sport, the help color what we are seeing on screen and inform us as to why things are the way they are) ie: Tony Romo, Mike Milbury, RC
Expert Analyst: (ex Pro or well respected/deep knowledge in the sport, they bring the viewer a deeper understanding of the conditions the athletes face and decisions athletes make) ie: Rodney Harrision, Pierre McGuire, Daniel Blair
Sideline Reporter (they bring you the race from the perspective of the athletes competing, not experts in the sport, its about what they athlete is saying, its not about them) ie: Michelle Tafoya, Scott Oake, Will Christien

Very different jobs, very different skills.
