Kawasaki didn't get the lock on the portapotty and Elito Mac got out. Last year they were able to keep Elito in the portapotty before each gate drop and Eli got to ride....

Bam Bam dominating and Tomac having some freakish unpredictable meltdown is just a season opener tradition by now. So relax!

He's done it before, the usual give up when he goes down early, anyway he'll be back upfront soon enough.

Agreed with what was said about the top 15 all within a second of each other. It's hard to make time in that situation; hard to pass unless it's aggressive, and hard to then get away after the pass to avoid a counter-move.

I think Eli got by Freezie; and wanted to get going to the next guy, got a little aggressive with the throttle, and spun himself out. It's easy to do with first race nerves, and a strong desire to be moving up the order before the leaders can get an insurmountable gap.

After that crash and crash number 2, he might have started to consider that he should probably just take the points he can get; and wait for the tracks where he can shine. If he gets points in these races, and dominates a few where he can comfortably do so; he knows where the chips will fall.

"And the night got deathly quiet
And his face lost all expression
Said, "If you're gonna play the game, boy
You gotta learn to play it right.

You've got to know when to hold 'em
Know when to fold 'em
Know when to walk away
And know when to run"

Track sucked unless you wanted to make enemies at round 1.

Maybe Tomac needs to hire Peick to teach him how to deal with Freise.

Whaat ?? Bad start ? He was 8th or something at a first turn.
From this position Slomac easily wins or at least finish second when he wants.

Now it looks like - damn , im too old for that shit

ET3 digs himself a hole in the points pretty much every season, and keeps things interesting the rest of the year digging himself out. That’s why it’s both frustrating and fun being an Eli fan lol

I mean his pants stayed on so there's that. He's had worse openers (2014, 2015, 2018).

He came out of the first round healthy and with only a few less points then his main challenger for the title, Webb. He’ll be fine.

He wants a challenge, so he figured he would give everyone a head start???? Geesh, its amazing how people will write a champion off after one race, mind you the first race of the season.

And never won a title in any of those years. Again, you can’t have these rides and win a championship with this field. Oldest cliche but still rings true - you can’t win the title at round 1, but you can loose it. He may claw his way back in, but ultimately I do think he will not retain the 1.

One thing for sure...there are a lot of guys HUNGRY for their shot, and they’re not impressed with the #1 plate. I know it’s said every year, but the class is deeper than ever with guys who not only want to win...but are really capable of doing it. That, combined with Tomac being the ultimate mental case (or so it seems), and not being able to buy a start...wcould make this a real iffy season for him.

Yeah, total mental case. It’s a miracle he lucked into four 450 Championahips. Might as well throw in the towel.

Nothing delusional about me. Every year Tomac has been on a factory 450, he’s been one of the most inconsistent riders out there. Yes, he’s won several titles...and is a great rider, but he’s like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’ll get. Some days he’s absolutely unbeatable...others he looks like he gets a bad start & just gives up. There’s no doubt though that he makes the most out of days when he’s “on” & knows how to minimize the effect of his “off” days so that when the smoke clears...he’s the champion.

That #1 plate must be heavy..in red.

I hope someone got the front on shot of Barcia on the finish line with him just behind Tomac.
