I've seen on old footage from both Road America as Laguna Seca that there was a motocross track on the facility. Does anyone have some footage from it, or some nice pictures? Some stories about it?

It's a concept that makes sense, and I happen to be right around the corner from COTA. Grandstands, lights, fresh air, video screens and vending and parking.

People talk about a rider's union in the U.S. and I think this is a threat to Feld as an alternative series other than convenient locations and the fact that Daytona Motor Group owns the rights to the outdoor series.

Not a car track, but wasn’t there a bastard National run at Dollywood in Tennessee or some type of WallyWorld Fun Park or something? Any pics, stories ? Thx !

PIR isn't a full mx track but is next to a road coarse.

The concept is awesome, Grattan Raceway in MI was one of the tracks I grew up on and I used to love to watch the cars between motos.

Back in 1983 I remember my mom taking me to Laguna Seca to ride the mx track. Track was above the road race track on the side of a hill. She would let me take out the back seat in her Cadillac to put my 1980 RM80 in it as we had no truck.

Not an mx track but Laguna Seca has a dh run during sea otter. More of a fire road with a few jumps but still cool to race

Rup, they had nationals in 84 and 85 at Six Flags in Hotlanta. All 3 classes both years.

These are photos from an older dude on my local MxForum. He raced there in 1972 at Laguna

It’s an absolute shame what’s happened to Northern CA riding, it seems like when my dad was my age, he could have ridden at probably over 20 tracks within 2 hours, whereas now I have 2.

Hell, this isn’t even the best moto track next to a road race course in the fucking state, that’s easily Sears point (RIP also)

New Jersey field of dreams is across the street from their road race tracks. They don’t share any facilities, but do share owners in some ways I’d imagine given the same names.

Road Atlanta just north of ATL use to have a MX track on the inside of the start/finish straightaway. They ran a series there in the 90s for quite a few years. Fun track.

I've been in the back section of the track riding while hearing dragsters, pretty cool stuff.

Not a road racing course, but these two are nearly on top of each other, Twisted MX and Milan Dragway in Milan, MI. Pretty cool listening to the drag strip when you're not riding.

State fair is right next to Perris auto speedway. Back in the day when it was starwest, they had mini night on fridays. Was super cool to be riding and hearing sprint cars get there cars dialed in for the Saturday show.

Back before MXON07 @ Budds Creek the Harescramble guys got the good fortune of running the woods, dirt oval track, and the MX track. And of course you have MIR Dragstrip right next door. I believe some woods riding has returned there in recent years. They had to knock down a bunch when they build MXON parking.

They have trails in the woods now. There is a local series called SXCS that holds a race there each year. They almost like a sprint enduro course using the MX track and the trails, it's pretty cool.

SIR is now Pacific Raceways. Its at the end on the drag strip thats part of the road coarse. HORN rapids has a cart track next to it. AIR WAY heights in Spokane is next to a Prison 🤣
