14 hours on my 20, only issue has been a chewed up chain roller. Lock tight on all fasteners and have not had any come loose.

What’s the best muffler for this bike and why?

Anything that is rubber mounted (not FMF). Because it doesn’t break your subframe

I have a Procircuit stainless system, Tokyo Mods re-map and a Notoil fast flow filter. It pulls sooner, picked up power across the spread and more over-rev. Its rubber mounted. 65 hours and no broken sub-frame.

I’m sure it’s similar. I have the works chassis lab linkage and it’s supposed to do the same thing, softer initially and get more progressive.

I don’t know. I really like the way the shock works on this bike in stock form. What problems are you guys feeling? I just changed the spring to the correct weight, and it feels pretty good to me.

Gents, I have a KXonfession...several months ago I was at Cahuilla with a friend who also has a '19 KX450. We got to talking about couplers and he had me swap the green coupler for the black coupler late in the day, after telling me that the black coupler puts out more horsepower. Probably the worst time to test as I was already getting tired. Overtime I forgot that I had made that swap and eventually realized that he had things ass backwards and it's the green coupler that makes more horsepower!! So I'm not sure who is the bigger dummy, him for telling me that, or me for listening?!! And there's no need to answer that question!! The green coupler has since been re-installed!

That’s funny. I actually prefer the softer hit of the black coupler. All 450s make more power than I can use, so I like the coupler that doesn’t tire me out as much and makes me faster on the white flag lap.

I share the same perspective as it seems the stock setup works pretty damn good. Is it one of these solutions in search of a problem or is there a legit benefit?

I like how the black rolls off idle but the mid to top on the green is cleaner and easier to control for me.

No. When the track is hard (or you’re +45 and trying to conserve energy for the end of the race), you need tractable and softer power. That is why I prefer the softer power delivery of the black coupler.
White coupler hits hardest (for deep soft terrain)
Green coupler is standard
Black coupler rolls on power more smoothly (for slippery hard terrain tracks)

Quadzrulebro is correct. I also prefer the black coupler as I primarily ride woods but when I do ride moto it still has plenty of power for me!

I apologize, I am a fucking idiot.. I was reading the track conditions as what the coupler did..

Another little trick. You always have the green map available. If you unplug the coupler if defaults to green, and you don’t have to shut off the bike to switch.

I'm at 100 hours! I ride hard enough and still nothing has broken (except the sub-frame). I haven't touched anything in the motor with the exception of 2 clutches. I'm debating whether or not to rebuild this motor or get a new '21. With the pricing on new bikes being so high.....this might be a time that i go for it and just rebuild what i have. Think i can get to 200 hours on this thing?

I'm at 72 hours and bike runs perfect. Its fun to buy new bikes, but new prices are sky high. 200 hours seems reasonable, go for it!

I use the black coupler also, I like the smooth initial power delivery as it helps my cornering and keeps things tidy and smooth

I have a new Rekluse Torque clutch pack for sell.

Do you know if these plates are the same as what is in the Rekluse Radius CX clutch?
Sorry no I don’t.
Did some looking on Rekluse's site...doesn't look like these plates work as a replacement for the Radius CX

https://rekluse.com/support/ride/?bikeId=7174

That's too bad as thats a good deal for the clutch!

Just had my front brake line tear while riding. front brake started to fade and then I started getting splashed with brake fluid. The triple clamp plastic brake line clamp wore through and got pretty sharp, ended up cutting a small hole into the line. Never had one of those wear out before, really weird.
