Actually pretty stupid that a rider who tested "positive" (or false positive, like Bogers in Faenza) can't be at the only place where it's certain he can't infect anyone else: on his bike.

And he raced on Wednesday when he was sick already, so if there were any harm, it would've been already done by now.

Even more because all of the other teammembers tested negative. All of them, that's around 30 people. And only one of them should tested positive? Strange.

What’s with all the denial syndrome that seems to be widespread in the States???
No wonder more people have died there than anywhere else.

We are by and large, as represented in this thread, massive idiots who are only interested in our own personal comfort and confirming our biases.

All the best to Jorge and his team/family.

It didn't used to be this way. I think we are about 15-20 years into some kind of revolt against actual science where the most outlandish conspiracy theories posted online instantly get millions of believers. They start with the practically universal claim of some secret group that is out to harm us or take away our rights, then they throw in junk science or alternative facts that sound good to the average person and the result is a very effective method of gaining lots of believers in these conspiracies. Pretty sure it started gaining mass popularity with 9/11 and then spread to the Moon landing, mass shootings, flat Earth, vaccinations, global warming, Q Anon and now Covid,

Awfully hard to tell the difference sometimes, between stupidity and ignorance. Prime examples of either or both in this thread.

Americans have no concept of anecdotal evidence. Just because you don’t personally know someone with an aluminum frame cr500 doesn’t mean they don’t exist. And just because you don’t know someone in their 30s who is healthy and has died from Covid, doesn’t mean it isn’t happening

Pretty clear no opinions will be changed here. Hope Prado recovers well and has minimal disruptions from all this.

I feel like that's just about anything nowadays. At least thus one is remaining relatively civil.

Back to Prado... bummed for the Kid.
He was likely to overtake Cairoli for 2nd in the Championship.
The kid rips Holeshots better than anyone I have ever seen (Alessi, Carmichael, McGrath, Hansen (Pops) combined, not even kidding) so the racing was much less exciting at Lommel this past weekend without him.

I’m sure he will recover just fine, but COVID just took a big bite out his Title hopes. That rings true of any top contender though...
One mistake by Gasjer, and Jorge could have been in a good spot.

Next MXGP Season should be wicked: A healthy Gasjer vs Herlings vs Prado vs Febvre vs Cairoli :-)

Heal up quick Kid

Lucky he doesn't live in America. Even on that Factory KTM salary, he couldn't afford the health care in this dump of a country.

Such a shame, he was doing so well. Next year will be big for him.

GuyB should consider opening a forum for politics, covid, conspiracies and all that nonsense BS. I think it'd work better to manage the Pasteurs, Curies and Flemings of the forum.

Agreed. 19 years old, and talent like that? Bright future indeed 😜
