Yeh its easy to say done deal as it either is or isn't so thats 50% odds and you'd go those odds anytime.
So basically they have a good chance at getting an uneducated statement right

I'd love to know what happened. I thought it was a good fit.

Same... especially since you'd assume he was on a pretty damn good ticket. Seven deal, factory(ish) bike on a great SX bike, reported great pay structure, no pressure to race outdoors...

But would rather put together his own deal with seemingly only Seven? Crikey.

If I didn't have a contract and nobody was paying me to ride their bikes in between seasons, I would ride whatever TF I wanted just to stir up shiz on social media and get people talking about what I'm doing next year. You guys took the bait.

Probably when he finished in the top 10 ahead of 8 other factory riders getting paid more than he was.

In the image he is sitting on a 2017 KX450F. The gear may be new and the photo more recent but nothing in my statement is inaccurate. There have been no announcements of a privateer team that I have seen.
When did Malcolm state what he is doing next season?
How is it known that he is going privateer on a Kawasaki? Where did this information originate?
He turned down offers because of the gear, what offer and from who?
He turned down a ride outdoors? Who offered it to him and when?
How is it known that his father is preventing him from obtaining a contract? Again where and when did this information originate?
What is the source of the inside information on the Stewart family?
What does his contract with Seven state?
Money and rides are tight in this sport. There are going to be good riders out of a job at the end of this season.
The outcome of this season will have an effect on signings.
Next year may be abbreviated, rescheduled or God forbid be canceled. It still remains to be seen.
Rumors, wishes and opinions are not facts.
Roczen hasn't announced he's retiring or taking next season off. He said he's skipping this outdoors for his health and the birth of his baby.
Nobody knows yet where Barcia is going maybe not even Barcia, its speculation.
McElrath has stated he does not have a deal for the 450s and said nothing else.
No one knows whats going on in Tomacs brain other than Eli and perhaps his inner circle.
Dungey hasn't told anyone publicly he's going to race again.
KTM, GasGas, Troy Lee, RMATV, Yamaha and Star haven't announced anything. Here again its people being wishful, hopeful, expressing opinion or repeating rumors.
Lol
Well... you seem to have it all figured out !
Cheers 🍻

Cheers indeed. I hope they all get good rides and all the teams get good sponsors. Further I hope they all keep safe and have long successful careers.

I believe Barcia will be staying at Yamaha after all, which pretty much eliminated Mookie from getting a ride.

Until Yamaha decided to use their first right of refusal, that was the plan. It’s 2020 man, there will be plenty of changes. Being that Plessinger has a contract, Ferrandis and Barcia will fill the seats available at Yamaha.
I’m guessing that McElrath will be hunting for a job. GasGas might be a good fit for him. But where will Mookie end up ? 🤷🏼‍♂️

So, am I understanding everyone correctly?

1. Y'all think that Mookie walked away from an MCR Honda deal for next year?
2. And...that MCR is returning with Honda support next-year?
3. That Mookie is "going solo" with backing from James/Seven?

All the while, it seemed to me that Malcolm was just getting his 7 on...?

I believe that reporting and speculation on what you hear and read are completely different.

That kinda depends on who and where you are getting your information from.

Some people just don't appreciate getting a little inside info or speculation whichever it may be. Maybe they should avoid forums and just wait for a press release. Whistling

That's what I'm hearing.

They were given one, but Big James said it wasn't "factory" enough.

At the go kart track in Orlando this Saturday night.

I'm a big Malcolm fan, but damn is it disappointing to see him squander much of his prime racing years not racing. He always seems super happy living his life, though, so to hell with my expectations as a fan.

Or...shit happens and information changes.

Until the ink is dry from all parties and lawyers on an actual contract, things are subject to change. Remember LOI's are just what they imply, intent. There are several steps after an LOI is signed before it becomes official.

Malcolm finished outside the top 10 in only 3 of 17 SX races last season. He had a 4th and a couple of 5ths and a bunch of 7th place finishes. Sucks he doesn't have a ride.

It is not 2005 any more. There is no longer that kind of money in the sport. Sometimes I think the Stewarts do not recognize how much the landscape, business wise, has changed. Look at Gecico pulling out now.

Unless Mookie is willing to walk from Seven, this could be a grievous career mistake. He should have put in another year or two at MC....continued to elevate his game, and a factory deal to take him to the end of his career might have opened up for him.

Now, he is left with two bad choices. #1 leave Seven, as the only good deal out there would come with a gear deal. #2 Go self funded Privateer. He did that once and it was a disaster.

Post a reply to: Malcolm Stewart Privateer effort?
