I can't say I haven't heard that as a possibility.

Dude they already have half the field testing on that platform what else do they need?

Hence red KTM . Post up the specs . I'll bet it has a juice clutch.

Jimminy cricket. Yes it’s a ktm, but it will be a cheaper version with less goodies. 🙈
Of course it will have the hydraulic clutch!

The cost of designing and building new crankcases will far outweigh the cost of using the existing ones with hydraulic clutch.

I know I'm super late to this party...but isn't there a rumor that MRC Honda might be wooing Barcia as well? Justin always looked good on the Honda, and although they might not be able to pony up the same dollar figure as GasGas might to get him...I just think it might be good for JB to come back to the "original" Red bike where he found success early on.

Little question mark: GasGas in America or GasGas in Europe... With Barcia Europe is always an option because his girl is British and they wouldn't mind living there.

Barcia has already said he doesn't want to race the GP's.. He has however said he'd like to retire and move to Europe with his lady

Selfishly, I know we would all love to see Justin really put his head down and give the GP's a full effort... but RV2 showed that it doesn't matter who you are or where you come from; GP's is a different animal... and I think Barcia want's nothing to do with that life by the time he's ready to walk away from life a professional rider in the States

ML will KTM be putting a couple of 250 riders under the RedBull/KTM tent as well? I can't imagine them not having a factory effort in 250 of some form. Or maybe RMATV-MC/Butler Bros runs 2 guys on 250 as well??

Would be surprised to see Butler Brothers still with KTM.

This is a bombshell! So maybe this is why Baggett's place is up for sale...I can't remember Blake's contract off the top of my head but I can't think of any rumblings of new riders being signed for next year...

Hopefully they work it out, would be a shame to lose any team, let alone one of that stature!

That would really suck to see happen, wonder if that had any influence on Derricho leaving the team to work with Bloss over the summer?

If Bloss is actually going to pay him then I would say yes.

If anyone follows Forrest Butler on IG he‘s had a rough go of things lately, health wise. Multiple back surgeries.

I have wondered if that would have an affect on the team and it’s future. They always seemed to have solid sponsorship partners and funding

Everyone assumes it'll be a current team that switches brand to Gas Gas. The only team I see switching is JGR or RMATV (similar satellite team to Standing Construction)

Maybe it'll be a new set up managed by Bobby Hewitt?

I hope we can get a healthy Bam Bam on a red KTM for 2 seasons. Then we'll see if the "blue pig" has been the problem. I'm not sure it's the bike with Barcia, because he was complaining a lot about his factory Honda in 2014 too. But the KTM package seems to be universally liked at the top level when riders make the move onto it, so we shall see if Barcia can step up on one.
He then went on to complain about the JGR Yamaha, then Suzuki, and now his current Yamaha...
