BEST NEWS EVER!!!!! Way to go Collin!!! Im pretty sure i speak for everyone, you aren't "bugging" anyone with updates! Its awesome to see some good in the world amongst all the bad and i think we all love seeing how he is doing. My wife and daughter even ask me now every couple of days if I've heard anything, so he has more people praying for him than imaginable.

Hope you and the fam have a good weekend and the 2nd round goes good!
Not "bugging" me either, Keep the updates coming.

Hey everyone! I’m not going to keep bugging you guys with constant updates on my sons condition since this is a motocross board but I did want to share some great news since you’ve all been so awesome to us and especially Collin. We got the news on Monday that Collin is now in remission from just his first round of chemo! His type of leukemia is AML and he has some weird genetic markers that led the doctors to believe remission was going to be a real struggle to obtain. So we’re back in the hospital basically doing a maintenance round of chemo to ready him for a bone marrow transplant after that (we also found out his little sister is a match for that which is the best possible scenario.) We couldn’t be happier! Thank you all again for everything! The Vital and moto community has done so much to boost Collin and really all of our spirits during some hard times and I can never thank you all enough. So many amazing people that have gone so far past above and beyond it’s just mind blowing.

Hell yeah! So cool to see Collin all smiles, and super happy for your entire family. Chopping onions happy. Haha. Be well, little man.

Don't hesitate to post updates! Let's see him on his dirt bike, when the time comes,

Totally moto related. This is one of those Must Read threads in this section for many of us. Thanks for the update and the good news. This thread has really shown that the moto guys are people with huge hearts and are there for each other when needed. Collin must be feeling much better now. How awesome !!

Haha that’s so rad!!! You guys are seriously great. I enjoy updating you guys because it kind of feels like you’ve been on a lot of this journey with us. This place has brought us up emotionally on more than a few rough days so I’m just trying not to bombard people because everyone has been so, so cool to my son. But if people are cool with it I’ll do the occasional update to keep anyone who is interested in the loop. As for favorite riders I really wish he had just one! It’s probably always going to be Tyler Bowers though for about a million reasons. He also LOVES watching clips of talented riders like BQ these days and asking me if he can learn to ride like that. I know he enjoys Ferrandis because he’s on a blue bike (like his) and because of that really cool Monster commercial of his they run so much. He mostly likes either the guys they show the most at the races on tv (Eli, Cooper, and Ken in the 450s and Dylan, Austin, Sexton, Mcelrath and Marchbanks in the 250’s ) or guys he sees on videos he watches on my phone. Guys like Pastrana, Adam Cianciarulo, Twitch (on the 110’s), and guys like Axell, and Maddo. He also likes Reed a lot because he has grandparents in Jindabyne and loves everything about Australia. But no obvious favorite. Still too new to it all. They’re all just borderline superheroes at this point. I have to say that there are several riders and industry people (*cough* Jordan Burns *cough *) that our whole family have became huge fans of as people through this craziness. Moto people are the best kind of people!

Oh no problem at all man! It’s incredibly cool of you to do that. I know when we have sent things either direction with my relatives in Australia things can always come up. Thanks again!

Oh man that’s awesome! Just please make sure you are cool parting with those. He’s so new to the sport he probably won’t get the significance of who those guys are for a while. He knows them more from toys and his RC replica Strider bike right now. Laughing So very cool though!!!

Hey guys! Figured I’d post an update now that we’re out of the hospital again and Collin finally got to ride his first bike! He and his sister had a blast and basically rode until bedtime. What an AMAZING day after 25 straight days in the hospital. The kid literally went straight from the hospital onto his bike. Huge thanks to BQ for the jersey and to Jordan for the much beloved Moto XXX swag. Collin had a wild ride this time around in the hospital. From being in remission, to not, to remission again, to lumbar puncture after lumbar puncture and MRI after MRI. But the kid kept his spirits up the whole time and his attitude carried us through some rough days. Time for Collin to enjoy some much deserved R&R! I think he’s hooked!!! Cool
