Aw buddy I’m sorry. How old was he? Dogs get the best of us. And take parts of us with them they go.

I feel your pain. I love dogs. Worst day is when you know it’s time to do it. Just wish they would go to sleep and not wake up

They should remind us when we get the dog that someday we may have to make this choice. It still would not stop me from adopting the dog. They are the best, can cure just about any bad day

Sorry for your loss. I have had to put 3 dogs down over the years. I was a blubbering mess for several days each time. My friends and family still tell stories about my dogs,it warms my heart to know they are still remembered by those that are close to me. You will feel the same comfort in due time!!!

Oh man that is brutal. That dog has happiness and love flowing from him. I’m dealing with my little bulldog I’ve had since he was 8 weeks old and he is over 12 now so I know our time is limited. I have slept downstairs with him on the couch for the last couple months because he can’t go up/down stairs any longer.

Hang in there, know you gave him a wonderful life. Be thankful of all the years of love you two shared. Take care and know we all feel for you

They are tough days for sure. I get the call from my dad because he cant do it any more when he needs to put down his as being ex RSPCA he always gets unwanted Boxer's halfway through their lives. Best cure is going out and getting another.

Sorry man, it sucks.

Had to make that call last year for my 16 year old pup.. Had no idea it would hit me as hard as it did. My heart actually broke, went to the doctor because it start missing beats, they put a monitor on me for a month. Determined it was stress related, yeah no shit! haha

Takotsubo syndrome!!! It’s reall. Seen it!

I sometimes think maybe it’s a blessing that we out live dogs, because you know if we were to die before the dog I think the dog really can’t handle it. My great grandfather had a dog he passed away and the dog was like “that was it” he was young and died he was only like seven stopped eating. stopped everything. Just laid on my grandfathers chair in misery. He probably made it two months past death my great grandpa.

I mean so in your case you know that the dog lived happy her whole life and then she never had to experience not having you—that’s just a burden that you’re going to have to take on not having her but at least you know that dog lived a great life And never had to miss you for a day.

Last one, didn’t stage this or plan it. It was like she knew what to do! She has a paw in every state!

sorry man, it's brutal. We lost our best friend unexpectedly almost a year ago and not a day goes by yet that I don't miss her.

she looks happy. I'm sure she had a great life and loved you dearly for it.

Oh man so sorry to read this. She looks like a GREAT Dog and I'm sure you gave her a great Life, that's all a pet can ask for....

In time get a puppy to make you smile again, that's what she would want, not for you to be sad.

Take care....
