Well, some posters on this site actually believe that it was just a simple misunderstanding over the last 48 hours....... So to recap, a Petty racing team member reports that a noose was found in the garage. Bubba never actually sees it himself, apparently neither did anyone else on the team......And then for the next 48 hours, Bubba himself, Petty himself, Nascar officials, et al immediately jump on social media to talk about how racist this act was - even though no one actually confirmed the act. Nascar released a statement that the perpetrator should be "banned for life from the sport". Bubba gets his car walked in with all the support of other drivers (which was good on them) to show a stand of solidarity against racism. And during that whole 48 hours of shit storm, there wasn't one other person that actually looked at the claimed evidence and said "hey guys, this really isn't a noose. Its just part of the garage door rope." Either that team member is a complete fucking moran along with everyone else on the team who didn't ask any questions, or else they are all complicit in the fabricated story. Either way, its not flattering. No one expected the DOJ and FBI to get involved so quickly, and when 15 FBI agents showed up to investigate - there were three scenarios that could play out. 1) Legitimate hate crime threat 2) Faked hate crime hoax or 3) Honest and highly ignorant mistake was made. And the FBI explained that someone in #1 and #2 scenarios would be going to jail. So they chose door #3.

If you owned a business (which I do), and an employee came to you with such a potentially heinous issue. Wouldn't the first thing be to look at the evidence first - ask who, what, where, when, why? I guess everybody just likes to jump on social media to throw fuel on the fire.......

That's called your own guilt. Everyone involved stirred a pot that that's already boiling over, I think there should be repercussions and I'm happy that it wasn't true. I would be just as happy if it was a white Hollywood lib who got caught.

Looks like a loop at the end of the rope is used to pull the door down. Doesn't look like a sliding loop to choke someone out.
