Glen Helen actually used to have a pretty good moto snack bar. I remember the burgers being pretty good.

I'm pretty much the same... I'm on keto, for one thing and for another I _hate_ riding on a heavy gut. My digestion is slow and leisurely, so I pretty much quit eating after about 2 pm, except for almonds, macadamia nuts, and sunflower seeds all of which guarantee I'll hit the toilet first thing in the morning.

When I get up, I have my keto coffee- coconut oil, butter, a protein milk thing (like Muscle Milk), strong black coffee. That'll usually prime the old poop chute and I'm happy. About 15 minutes before going to the line, I eat a banana. In between motos, or 1/2 way out on an enduro, I have another banana and maybe some dark low-sugar chocolate. I'm drinking electrolyte replacement constantly.

AFTER the race... I like burgers, guacamole, bacon, cheese... no bun. Grilled asparagus is good, too. Lacking burger...grilled chicken with the other stuff. Boring, I know. That is my daily staple and I know how it's gonna sit in my stomach. I wanna get this done with before 2 pm, though, if I'm racing again the next day. If I'm on the road home, I don't care. I just wanna get something in my stomach so can I get going on the ibuprofen.

Eggs, turkey sausage, and a bagel for breakfast. For track snacks, I’m big on fruit like apples (with peanut butter dip), oranges, grapes, and black berries. If I feel like I need some carbs, I’ll bring graham crackers. I’ll bring some lunch meat and cheese squares for additional protein. Then after riding, my go to is Poke’.

If camping at the track, we always do filet steaks or rib eyes, veggies, poppers, and potato salad. Go big or go home when camping at the track. Lunches are burgers and brats.

Steel City BBQ sandwich. It was nothing more than deli ham in sweet BBQ sauce from a crockpot on white bread but damn was it good.

I'll second the Burgers at Dade City as well.

Back in the day I was introduced to Belgian French fries with mayonnaise at Namur. I've never had TK with fries since.

I have always believed hot dogs to be safe. They sit in hot water forever basically being sterilized. Burgers and chicken can get funky too easily being out in the world. Hot dogs are technically cooked when you buy them, they’ve been smoked (or some sort of cooking) because if they were technically raw, they’d be like a mushy soup. They put in a casing and cooked. That’s how they are firm and keep their shape and why you can eat them cold.

Hot dogs are typically safe, IMO
Boiled lips and buttholes in a sheath. . .🤣
I have worked at Butterball, we grind and mix all that stuff in with a filler so it's a meat milkshake.. then form it in a mold, and put it in a creosote smoker. .

Still sound tasty? 😯

Know exactly what it is.
I worked at a meat market/butcher shop that made all kinds of cold cuts

Bologna isn't much different as well as other cold cuts

There are kosher hot dogs

Im usually late and hung over.... so a couple cigarettes and a Mt Dew to start. Maybe finish it up with some roost from the 39 other guys whooping my ass.

Then, if theres' still room maybe a few PBR's and some borrowed leftover food from the guy next to me that was smart enough to not party all night and actually brought a grill and a cooler.

Later I grab a nasty ass gas station sandwich on the way home at 3:00 AM because I spent all night in the parking lot talking with friends about getting my ass whooped.

Yeah thats about it.

Usually easy stuff, fruit, granola bars, protein bars, etc.

I drink cytomax a lot too that really helps keep me going, sometimes add some extra amino acid powder.

Ruth's can do the steak, but you gotta have Morton's do the sides... best of both worlds...
