I personally used to be indifferent about Ralph, but lately with all his pointless facts about Marchbanks hunting and Hill watching movies and other shit i realized how much more insight weege would bring to the broadcast in terms of talking about RACING. Ralph also loves to try to create drama that isnt really a thing. ( "AC and Webb, these 2 have a history Ricky, are we going to see some aggressive racing here?")

What I've liked about Ricky is that he has good foresight, and tells it like it is

I don’t think RC is amazing but I have changed my mind on him slightly. He was good when he was in the booth with Leigh Diffey for the first few rounds, I think he just needs someone better alongside him. I think his main issue is Ralph says stuff so stupid he has no idea what to respond with

I have no idea how broadcasts are managed, but with Ralph, would anybody know if he is told to talk about that stuff, or is it his choice?

I am actually fine with Ricky and Ralph 90% of the time, kind of just tune them out or laugh at some of their stuff. However what really gets old for me is all the "AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH WWWWWWHHHHOOOOOAAA!" and "DID YOU SEE THAT?!?!" crap that they yell. Keep it calm guys, report whats going on, break down the race, and when you have a build up to a last lap battle like last night keep upping the excitement over time. But flat out yelling OOOOOOOHHHHHHHH!!!!!! ever time some little thing happens gets really old really quick.

Id rather have weege. Ralph’s side facts are ridiculous. Ive noticed RC trys to get back to the racing when ralph talks nonsense. NBC needs to just put weege in. They were all excited to make moto all on one platform when sx went from fox to nbc. Why not make announcing all the same.

Agreed, Leigh was good at asking Ricky questions about bike set up and race craft which gave Ricky a chance to show his expertise. Where Ralph seems like he's trying to make small talk with Ricky and Ricky isn't very good at that

I’ll cut them both some slack when it comes to there oohs and ahhs. I catch myself doing it. They’re no different than all of us. Ralph needs a vacation. That’s simple. I’m not sure if “Short Stories with Ralph” is his idea or the production teams but it’s just awful. His spastic screaming on the gate drops. Describing the color of bikes. Seven duece duece, etc. Just stale. Diffey was great the first three rounds then Ralph came back as Super Ralph looking to keep his job I think. It’s not a good look

I couldn’t believe my ears. Half way through a race, and Ralph is dribbling this sort of shit. I love how Ricky gives him nothing and carries on commentating the frickin race that’s on the screen.

Honesty the Ralph small does get annoying but SX just wouldn't be the same without him. Even though Ralph isn't perfect I much rather have him then Diffey simply due to the fact that his voice is synonymous with SX and gets me amped up for a race in a way in which Diffey simply doesn't.

Even if he is forced to talk about woodpeckers and man bodies, the way he does it is painful. Weege makes the mandated Geico 15 minute ad smooth as hell.

I’d say there’s a 0% chance producers feed him those pointless “fun facts” and ask him to work then into the broadcast unless of course there’s a running bet “$100 to anyone that can get Ralph to say _______.

Then again, we are talking about the same producers that decided with 45 sec left in the main event and Eli nipping at CW2’s heeks for the W, that that now would be the perfect time to cut away from race coverage to replay Cooper’s crash for the 10,000th time not once, but twice(2nd time in slow motion). Sort of like how they will ALWAYS cut away from the race, no matter how much time is left or how exciting it is, any time a privateer running in 18th has a small tip over?

So who know’s, tough to assign blame amongst a band of idiots.

I like Ralph. During the pandemic break Ralph used his free time to chronologically organize all his back Issues of Speed Sport News. He also accomplished one of his life long goals and built his very own ship in a bottle.
