How quickly a generation or two can forget horrible viruses.

I am very psyched about the remaining supercross races. Having 7 races in half the time, with everyone rested, most the variables consistent from race to race, will be a fun way to finish this season. I'm looking forward to it.

Braaaaap!

People are sick of this illegal lockdown. Time to stand up for our rights, we did what they wanted, the curve flattened. Time for the politicians to stop using this covid as a political weapon and get the country working again. I for one have been in the thick of it. No days off for me.

And to change gears, I will NOT take any vaccine, I would intentionally get the virus first. My opinion, my body, my choice.
I have no doubt we will be forced to take some kind of vaccine at some point....or not be allowed to travel, enter stores/restaurants etc etc...

I dont think youre getting me.
37 450 riders scored at least one point, 40 riders per class, 3 non point riders are getting in, who are the lucky 3?
29 250 west riders etc
35 250 east riders etc

See what I mean? Automatic qualification for several riders that dont have to race their way into the night show, lucky riders.
Its not exactly that cut and dry though, some of those 450 points scorers aren't full time 450 riders, see: Blose, Sipes, Decotis

With this compressed schedule, finishing all the races will take on an extremely great importance.
Translated this means... take out your competitor!! If you can knock out someone for one race, then there is little time to recover.
The racing may look more like arenacross.

Imagine if someone takes out Tomac on the first race...0 points.
He's out of the championship, unless he can take out someone in second place, etc.
There could be carnage!
That could happen at any race but the difference here is you only have 3 days to cool down before lining up again hotter than a two peckered billy goat.

Pro Motocross:

The Pro Motocross schedule remains under revision pending confirmation of state re-opening guidelines. The opening round is tentatively set for July 4th with the series concluding on October 3rd. We hope to announce final dates and locations by May 15th.

That's what I found on this page. I also remembered the first round beeing mid June, but apparently it's TBA on the schedule information.
Thanks,. I was going off racer x. Which still had mid June as the start.

Well the first and last Sunday race will be on there.Looks like the first hour on NBCSN then shift to the big network. The Wednesday races aren't going to bump their regular programming

Does this mean the 4th voice will not be on the broadcast ? If not this only makes the show better the last 3 weeks.

If there are no fans, I'm surprised FELD didn't just run these outside somewhere, as opposed to renting out a stadium.
Florida is open, should have just done it at different pro riders compounds. Cool

You haven't followed the discussion on this subject very closely have you?

To broadcast the races you need built in infrastructure, the stadiums have that. Claremont does not. Are you going to park 900 people at The Nest for that many weeks with no services? Come on Man...

You mean infrastructure like at a national motocross track in the middle of nowhere?

I just meant the practicalities or lack thereof of doing it at some practice track have been discussed to death here for the last two months.

This entire venture is about keeping it as cheap as possible for FELD and the teams, and the stadium setting does that. I'd bet dollars to donuts FELD is paying next to, if not zero for the rental. The State of Utah is playing a big part in making this happen.
