During all this down time, we've been watching a little more television. My six year old absolutely loves battlebots, all his Lego's are built as battlebots, he has the replica vex bots, the hexbug arena. During one of the episodes he was watching I noticed that none other than the MIss Jenny Taft is a co host on the show. Believe it or not but battlebots gets way more publicity then motocross and supercross. At least it holds a primetime spot. She made a decision to advance her career and maybe she enjoys it as well.

I sure miss Jenny on the broadcasts...from an outsider, she appeared to have actual relationships with the riders. Will Christian seems way more corporate.

It’s so hard to believe this but as you said, they get a prime spot. I’m sure that it’s true. Too bad motocross has the stigma that it does, when the sport is one of the most entertaining/gnarliest on earth IMO.


I did, however, get prettttty into battlebots in 5th or 6th grade.

Battlebots are pretty darn cool. We started collecting all the motors, gears, controls, etc out of his old remote control cars and toys. We're planning on starting to build some smaller models. Hopefully he continues his interest in these bots, some great engineering to be learned designing and destroying these models.

Saw her and Jamie Little doing the Westminster Dog Show recently (Don't ask why I was watching...LOL).

Miss them both doing moto. Little is a regular on NASCAR shows now.

Surprisingly the sx series has churned out alot of pretty and competent ladies. All the ones I can think of have demonstrated their personas and interviewing skills better than the usual commentators. If the commentators were as successful as most of the ladies they would have gone on to big things, but I cant think of any at this moment that have. Not dis'n the commentators at all, I get that this is round 2 for their careers and they will only get better but just saying the ladies move thru faster it seems like. Maybe the ladies have taller career aspirations.

Sat next to her on a flight to Colorado one year. She is a 10. Looks and personality. I knew she wouldn't last long in moto, she was too good and the way they snatch our good reporters up to hire for other sports we knew her days were numbered. Good for her.

Jenny Taft is a real beauty and was definitely an asset to the sx broadcast. You're right though, the good reporters do get snatched up by other sports, and unfortunately that means we are going to be stuck with Daniel and Wil for quite some time.
