I want a brand spanking new YZ250
I want a brand spanking new YZ250

You know ....it's totally ridiculous, but I have a brand new one of these sitting in the garage...I will have had it 2 years come June!
Never started or ridden it...haven't stripped it to grease it up yet either, I do have my race number backgrounds for it but haven't put them on.
I'm determined for it to be a bucket list project bike with porting and head work, Vortex ignition, vforce reeds and the HGS exhaust system it came with , also a steadily 9 oz flywheel weight.
Was getting ready to get all that do a bit over a year ago when I broke my wrist and basically lost about $12 k through time off work..
I have patience though..and that will be the bucket list bike I've always wanted...
In the mean time I'm leaning more and more towards getting that ktm 85 big wheel and just soaking up the pure joy of riding it and chasing the kids around out at the track..

Purchased a new 450 right before all this came down. Now I'm thinking about this bike. Anybody have one?

Nice bike. Reminds me slightly of the Honda Africa Twin I was looking at before all this happened.

Not new, but maybe a project. I am either going to pick up a 125 smoker to build a play bike for the woods, or maybe a trials bike. Thinking about the trials bike so I can rip around my yard and build obstacles to train with if we go through this shit again.

Me and the ol' lady get bored as we are both outdoor types. Pretty crappy times in Texas, since it rains every other day. No mtb or doing yard crap. Drinkin' and buying crap online has been our jam lately. Might get a a new tax credit also.

I was hoping to buy myself a KXF250 for my 40th birthday in June....
Corona has wiped 20k of work off the table for me so that isn't happening.

Bought a 125sx for Christmas and was only able to ride it once before the lockdown. Just ordered a gravel bike so that I can at least ride around in the woods and get a little action in.

Got myself a set of 2020 Kawis.. KX450 & KLX110L .. looped the lil one first day and snapped the fender and clutch lever AHAHAHAHA.. already have new bars, tall seat, stiff fork springs and all green plastics on the 110. Need some tracks to open to get on the 450 around here.

Wtf is going on with that front brake line on the 450? Blink

I want one as well, but I donโ€™t know if I could ever get comfortable with the price. $10k is a lot of money for a dirt bike.

Yeah i agree on that, a leftover model for about 8k would be more ideal. If I cant find an xc for a good price a sx model wouldn't be to bad to just get a bigger tank, 18in wheel plus some other goodies for less $.

Iโ€™ve called a few dealers and the best price I could find was $9500 otd, which isnโ€™t a bad price for the dealer to do on a brand new in demand bike. Thatโ€™s a lot of coin though!

I just sold my beat up FC350 and will definitely be buying a new 250 2 stroke very soon.
In the meantime I'm on the hunt for an 05-08 RM125 for a little project to keep me sane while the tracks are closed.
Got to make the most of the situation!
Older 125โ€™s at a decent price are literally selling in 15-30min right now, Iโ€™ve been on the hunt too. This morning seen a 2001 kx125 for $1000 posted and sold in 16min. Same yesterday with a 01 cr125 sold within a hour. Seems weโ€™re all on the same page right now.

Right before this I was getting ready to trade one of my adv bikes in on a Suzi drz400.... Now, ktm has is bringing their 390 adv to the states, so I will now wait till that ktm hits stores....

So yes, I do plan on a new bike after this...

I am... but the thing is: can we expect 2021 models to be much different from the 2020s with all the industrial activity stopped?

Also transport issues...

Is a late 2020 the real deal?

Ditto. My father survived the 2018 flu pandemic. Iโ€™m hoping I survive this one.
(Yes, I said, my father, he would have been 109, this year).

2020 or 2021 450. I'll see what's out there.

Shouldn't your location say,"GTA"?
