Only $10 for all 2026 SX, MX, and SMX series.
SX is about the long game, and strategy. Half of you say shit like “it doesn’t matter if someone’s fast, they have to be in it to win it”.
Cutting the series off that early is changing the whole dynamic of the series.
It’s like you have a 1/4 mile drag car, that isn’t fast off the line but always wins at the checkers. He shows up, and it’s determined that they are only racing 1/8 mile. He loses. Should the winner be called the 1/4 mile champ still? 1/4 mile champ with a * ? Or do you just call them a 1/8 mile champ.
Don’t put a * next to it, but then it should be called the “2020 partial SX season”.
I bet most of you who don’t agree with the * , would feel much differently if it was James Stewart in Eli’s position... change my mind.

So your advocating for an asterisk in the record books, diminish a Championship for a rider that had nothing to do with the reason for the short season? Do you have an argument for a better solution?
Been plenty of shortened seasons/games in sports for one reason or another. If it was all about the "long game" then there'd be no sudden death overtime's or shootouts to determine a winners in sports. Or is SX somehow different? Somebody has to win and the best guy or team up until an unforeseen event occurs should get the win or title, no?
Pit Row
10/17 races held. No asterisks if this is how it ends for 2020
Now we won't have to live through the weekly "(insert round here) track sucked"
Someone blaming the track for being "horrible design" "one lined" "hard to pass" as to the reason their guy didn't win.
He also clearly won a series that raced only 70% of the rounds scheduled.
You’re right, shortened seasons have happened... and they all deserve a damn asterisk. That’s my point.
You bringing up sudden death or overtime is completely irreverent, as that situation is put in place due to the performance of the teams, not an external factor...
