Back in 1970 if I broke my leg it might cost me a couple hundred dollars if I had insurance. Nowadays, it might be 50k depending on circumstances with insurance. Thinking about financial consequences doesn't make you a pussy. Times have changed and not for the better in some aspects.

I think what Pingree means is tough. Some men are great men and aren’t “tough”. Some men are tough and terrible men. Being a “real man” has nothing to do with either exclusively. I’ve met some very great, very caring men. A lot of those tough guys made some really shitty abusive dads...just ask most people born in the 60s.
