Not fun to watch but i guess Herlings finally getting smarter, he knew he didn't had to do anything stupid for his 86th GP win, going healthy en red plated to his home GP next week

Didn't look like it either, he was smooth!

I guess some people can't accept that he dropped Herlings.

He was good but herlings also won the GP by 9 points and seemed to ride very conservatively

oh.... and Evans has been dealing with a chest infection all weekend and has been struggling with his breathing

which makes his motos even more impressive!

It makes sense why he wasn't able to push those last 5-10 minutes in the same fashion as the beginning. He has a fantastic future ahead of him if he stays healthy!

Gajser is and will probably remain the most underrated Motocross racer in the world.

We had absolutely a great season opener. I enjoyed the racing very much and oh man what was Haarup impressive. Also Gajser is going to defend his tittle, going to be hard for Jeffrey to beat him consistently.

Well, a lot of people didn't believe that Geerts could battle for the title this season, and it would be a two-way battle between Vialle and Olsen. I hope he opened those people's eyes today. He won his first GP ever on a track he hasn't performed well at on the previous seasons, and maybe it could've been a 1-1 if he didn't crash. But Vialle crashed aswell in the first race, so I think they were almost equally strong today. To be honest, I expected him to finish in the top five or maybe to stand on the podium, at best, but he proved me wrong.

With Valkenswaard coming up, he has a great opportunity to extend his lead in the standings. The sandtracks should be his to win this year, or Van de Moosdijk's if he steps it up.

Really hoping for a Belgian worldtitle again 🤞🏻

Yep fully agree. That 2nd moto was a thing of beauty.

Gajser looked great in the 2nd moto. But Herlings will likely be up by 20 points after Valkenswaard. Not to bad of a start of the season.

Awesome racing-I'm so pumped I renewed my MXGP-TV script. And Paul Malin rules. All 4 seasons of weather in one day both Saturday and Sunday too. AC was a stud, and there were so many other great rides. Good stuff.

I’m just gonna say that this is gonna be an awesome season in both classes.

Herlings vs Gajser in MXGP is gonna be epic. I don’t think anyone can touch them in the long run, but AC, Evans (damn he was impressive) and some other can hopefully give them a run here and there.

But this MX2 season is looking like the most wide open class in a long time. Geerts and Vialle are probably gonna duke it out for the title, but there are SO many guys that can battle for podiums and even wins. The margins in this class are crazy small, top 17 in moto one separated by under a minute is nuts.

Watching Gajser in that second moto was amazing, he went through the section we were at using a different line to everyone else, hitting it perfectly each lap so smooth and much faster than the others. Herlings looked very stop start through the same section. Tim was on rails, it was a thing of beauty to witness.

Can’t speak highly enough of Gajser’s performance in that second moto. That was a level of dominance I wasn’t sure that he had, he was absolutely flawless and insanely fast. If he bring that regularly and limit the crashes he has every chance of retaining his title

Harrison, Covington, Vohland, not a encouraging beginning to a long tough season

Top 30 in both classes within same lap is pretty impressive too. I’m stoked for this season

The starts are so important, any number of guys could be top 10 in MX2 with a start and Harrison is one of them. He was better in the second race but he just didn’t get the start. Everyone in that group from 15-25 are so busy trying to kill each other that they can’t go forward. I’m sure we’ll see some good results out of him this season.

Covington I’m really not sure about, I don’t think he crashed in either moto and he finished outside the Top 30 in both. He was a long long way off the pace

I dont think hes underrated at all. It's close between he and Herlings but I gotta give the slight edge to Gajser since hes got one more world title. I believe Gajser, Herlings and Tomac are the 3 best motocross riders in the world.

Covington seems to be done. He struggled to finish in the points in AMA 250 outdoors last season also. From winning GPs in MX2 then starting with SX his results dropped off a cliff.

I have to say I agree. It’s really hard to see him getting back to the level he was at when he was winning MX2 GP’s. I don’t know if I ever pictured him as a great 450 rider, but certainly a top 10-15 guy. He was absolutely nowhere near that this weekend

Gonna be a wild season, you have riders of stature fighting for position all the way back to just to get a single point in 20th.
Notable rides today: Seewar, Evans, Paulin, Coldenhoff, crippled Prado, Hofer, Forato and Crawford

Henry Jacobi definitely deserves a mention. Had a bit of a lonely ride in the first race but was in the top 10, then he back that up and rode even better in the second one. He was right on the back of a battle with Desalle, Coldenhoff and Seewer right up to the last lap. Very impressive 450 debut

I disagree, with the GPs three guys dominate the headlines. Herlings, AC and Prado. Coming into the season I was shocked although I shouldn’t have been with the lack of respect he was getting from regular joes to media personal. Herlings is still the favorite, but Tiga is the double MXGP world champ by 23 and it gets lost in all the KTM hoopla.
