So Barcia wins A1. For all those that make dumb threads about how horrible Yamaha is. The fact Barcia made his bike more stock and wins A1....Does that hurt?

He won A1 last year as well.

“More stock”, lol. Lessened the power output is probably the only thing that’s been changed significantly, but don’t be fooled by “more stock”.

Who would have thought, the best rider wins on any color.

You posting about ktm just shows your insecurities.

If you pay attention yamahas problem has been the team. They admittedly hired new staff and are able to tailer the bikes to the riders better than before.

Also barcia won last year and flopped the rest of the season. Dont get hyped on 1 race.

Yamaha clearly made significant and positive changes to the bike in 2020 and also now has a team that knows how to set it up well for Barcia instead of just throwing every part they have at it. Barcia has always had speed and that YZ450F finally looks good on a supercross track. He’s also great under the pressure of A1.

To be fair, KTM/Husky is who everyone should be aiming for, having won 5 SX titles in a row.

They have also had some of the best riders in the game, KTM has a great program to bootif they truly have the best bike it's not enough to win out against supreme talent.

Barcia was a monster on the Honda when he was full of confidence, now he has that confidence back he put on a very good showing.

RC won in every bike he went to, same as James Stewart.

Rider > bike; everyday of the week, that's why I laugh at people who make bike excuses for Tomac, it's nothing to do with bike he's the fastest guy out there but he's mentally fragile, what's the new Tomac defence as AC seems great on the kawi?

Well if you pay attention to Barcia in interviews BEFORE A1 he mentions going back to the drawing board. Stock triple clamps being the first thing I remember him mentioning.

Yes. "KTM" refers to bike, rider, team, program, and company.

The fact that it has been three different riders over that 5 year span only underscores this.

Nothing stock about that bike lol, but yes it is nice to see Yam up front (and Barcia). It is 1 race, so not much to brag about yet, but hopefully it continues.

Racer111 has been real quiet on Barcias win. I seem to remember him saying he didn’t deserve a factory ride this offseason

I made a lucky guess Saturday and picked him to win. I thought he just looked really comfortable , aggressive and looked to be flowing well. Hopefully he keeps that energy up there , and stays some what consistent. He was flat rippin' !

Ya, my bad you are right. Showroom stock internals and Barcia loaded the map from MXAs shootout, from his phone.

So when Barcia goes back to top 10, does Yamaha suck again ?

They're professionals, they can ride anything fast. Why are people so obtuse?

And the corollary: We non-professionals can ride anything slow.

Yes, of course. However, for now all the other riders suck balls and the five other manufacturers are clearly going out of business.

I find it very amusing to see the passion and vitriol people have towards an assortment of mechanical mechanisms based upon the color of the plastic to which the mechanical mechanisms are attached. I've never understood the brand loyalty mentality.

I don't give a damn what color the bike is I'm looking to buy. I'm buying the best bike to suit my needs regardless of color. The people manufacturing and selling these mechanical mechanisms are looking to take as much of my money as possible in selling me one. Therefore, I'm going to buy from the manufacturer selling the better product for my usage. Believe it or not, at 59 years of age and riding for 49 of them I can guarantee my needs are much different than the needs of guys utilizing these machines to make a living.

What's even funnier is the people with a hard on for a certain color even though they never owned the color they hate. I don't get it. How can you dislike "a machine" that you have no personal experience. Nonsensical.

Hell, I don't even give a damn if the color I choose to buy wins SX or MX races or championship(s) as it has nothing to do with me. The bike these guys are winning on are nothing like the bike I'm riding as a professional practice rider. I won't even get into the difference of the human at the controls of these colored machines as they relate to me. I don't think I'm even of the same species....

Barcia on the latest pulp mx show is a good listen. He mentions that the bike is a little up on power from stock, but has been tuned for smooth delivery. I didn't get the impression that it's a showroom floor motor and not sure where that comes from. Other changes he mentioned are transmission related, taller 2nd gear for example, so you know it has some goodies in it.

If you referred to my 2nd post, I was being sarcastic lol. Sorry. It's not stock. It's fully worked, it's just not a fire breather. As Barcia said, the team let them build the bike around him, rather than build a bike they think is right, and make him adjust. The bike is no more stock than before, as OP elluded to.

All good, actually no your posts were clear but I’ve seen other threads where people alluded to it being a stock motor. I believe they even asked that question on the pulp show but I may be mistaken.
