Honestly I thought him joining vital Mx seemed like the most ass backward thing to happen here in awhile. The guy has bashed and mocked the “forum-dwellers” for YEARS and now we are payin his bills so it’s all good? As far as I’m concerned the guy is an asshole. I had a feeling for a long time but after his meltdown temper tantrum the other day, its pretty much confirmed.

I think just the word PED gets anyone triggered. It's like discussing religion or politics anymore. I'm still trying to get over JS7 retiring. It sure seems his incident with the PED flag made a big turn for his interested in supercross anymore.

Not to derail all the excitement here, but your comment exposes two possibilities. The first is that Tickle deliberately took a banned substance but couldn’t afford the masking agent to hide it. The second is that Tickle didn’t knowingly take a PED. I think I’ll go with option 2.

No wonder Steve ended him coming on the Pulp Show, i dont get Pingree i really dont. Just seems to be a shit disturber wherever he goes. I dont bother listening to the Whiskey Throttle show i dont know how anybody else does.

The last 2 months have been total shit shows for the MX "podcasting/media" social media feeds and platforms.

I like Ping and I’m a big Whiskey Throttle Fan... but lately I find myself missing ML512 around here. Always seemed like a solid dude and had a lot of insightful contributions to the forum. Ping’s a helleva bike tester and he’ll be a solid asset to Vital, but come on man, you’re better than this. Don’t pickup the trash.

A good job, a good family, continuing to get paid by the industry you love even after you're too old and slow to be competitive anymore. Getting to ride and test just about every bike new and old at the expense of someone else. Yea, that Ping is sure getting his. Sounds like karma is really kicking his ass.

Pings got a point. Not sure about masking but the elite have the resources to toe the line between what’s legal and what’s not both scientifically and chemically. Not saying others don’t have the resources but I can see where it would be quite expensive....

With that said, I would actually argue that being on the payroll means that he should hold himself to a higher standard than insulting users on the forum. Vital’s profitability is largely reliant upon their ability to sell ads based upon clicks and web traffic.

An employee of a public forum getting into the mud with a user of the site is poor form on Ping’s part. The web traffic generated from the users that he’s insulting is essentially paying a (very small) portion of his salary. At the end of the day, Ping knows better and I’m sure this will be an isolated incident.

I don’t always agree with everything that GuyB says, but he does a very good job of taking the high road and being the bigger person in a lot of these threads. Ping could learn a thing or two from him. It’s not always about having the last word.

Just my opinion. Sure hope I don’t get clipped.

I kinda of understand where the idea of just let it be open slather comes from. But i think just telling everyone to have at it would cause so many problems that we aren't aware of. Pro bodybuilding is untested and some of the cycles and toxic drugs you hear of people using is unbelievable, and that's in a sport where there is far less money to be made than Pro motocross. The health repercussions down the track need to be taken into account as well.

I don't know what the answer is but i really hope the answer isn't to just give in and let them go nuts, thats not the sporting landscape i want my kids getting involved in.
