It could be, but the I don't think this photo can prove it. To me, a scrub is defined by the takeoff. If the sidewalls of the tires are "scrubbing" the lip of the jump, then it's a scrub. However, the rider/bike can take off straight and produce a similar or even same aerial position.

I saw Danny race many times and he was an amazing rider. But, I never saw him scrub a jump. He appears to be doing what was called a "turn down". Which for the most part is done after a rider leaves a jump. A scrub starts well before leaving the jump.

That's the double-jump behind the starting gate at the 1982 or '83 High Point National, which was before David Bailey first turned it into a triple. He's not scrubbing, he's turning down, but still amazing what Magoo could do on a dirt bike!
