If you got the right partner anything is possible! What a difference an awesome partner can make.

Given how many times his bike fogged everyone out, they could just add some blue or pink to his oil.

You’re cool. Look at Plessinger. He had a kid on the way and won 2 championships that year.

Curious, did your performance change at your job when you had kids? Whatever it was that you were doing at the time were you “done”?

What is it that makes people say “he’s done” when riders get married or have a kid??? Who’s ride went to absolute shit after either life event? I can’t recall a single one

Well I guess his Alpinestars pajamas malfunctioned during the heat and now here we are.

Kidding aside, congrats to Eli and Jessica!

I can’t think of a single rider who has been negatively effected by having a family...

Actually quite the opposite.

Congrats to Eli. Now...be a man, and marry her!

James Stewart? Its fair to say he pretty much gave up around the time it was announced he had a kid on the way and definitely lacked the drive and desire after his first son was born.

Blister-gate was a clear indication he wasn't even riding during the week right?

On a side note…… I can't be the only one that finds these "baby (insert name here) coming soon" announcements to be overly obnoxious with an extra side of cheesy-ness.

Not Tomac related but Its always been kind of funny to me how couples will emphasize how #blessed they are when its planned…… bro, its biology and nature, not a religious event bestowed upon you by God.
I say this with a light hearted tone, when you step back and look at how people have created traditions within social media now

You've never heard that expression before? It's common saying amongst middle aged men with kids. It has to do more with moving to the next "stage" in an adults life.

Did my performance change at my job when I had kids? Sure did. Tired at work, took more sick days, started to think twice before doing dangerous things, ect. Granted, I wasn't a pro motocrosser at the time.

I agree with your first paragraph. Some people over do these things, and I find the whole gender reveal things kinda narcissistic.

As far a being "blessed" goes; Any couple that has had problems conceiving a child certainly feels blessed when they are finally able to start their family. I withhold judgement on their cheesy-ness.

James Stewart immediately came to mind for me as well.

Also, didn't Dungey's first child arrive sometime around his retirement? I don't remember the timing of it, but I'm sure that was a factor into his decision process. That may have been more of a "I am retired now so let's start the family immediately."

Don't forget Big James Stewart, haha. I remember on an episode of "Bubba's World" where he declared that he would have been the first "Bro Sho", but he quit racing to focus on James. Grinning

Yeah, I'll second that.

A lot of the other responses here could learn from your message. It's the proper way to respond.

Having a kid just made me want to work harder. Lit a fire inside me to make sure I always handle business and accomplish things cause that’s what you need to do right now. Same will be for Eli. Congrats

Bringing a life into the world changes a man. Period.
The type of change varies by individual. 👈That's a fact.

Congrats to the Tomacs!

I agree with you totally, without the light hearted tone.
BTW, I have three children and I am an atheist.
