How’s everyone liking this tire now that’s it been out a while? Comparison to starcross 5 soft and mx33?

We are new dealers and have a limited amount of time on them but so far we are impressed. First off the weight, if you haven't done it yet please just pick up one of these tires, it will blow you away how light they are. The first words out of each riders mouth I have heard is "man these things hook," and this coming from riders with MX33s and Starcross 5 tires. Not enough hours yet to really gauge life span but I feel sure we will be running these on all our race bikes....

Some of the older Hoosiers were bad about chunking. The mx25 is a really good tire but if you want longevity get a mx30. Besides that they’re great.

I've got 9 hrs on a mx25 on a yz250. I'm not fast.

Pros- They are extremely light. They hook up great. Made in America. White lettering looks badass.
Cons- At 9hrs, they need replaced. Lots on chunks out of them. But I did do a 2hr woods race with lots of rocks and roots. So will probably last a little longer on just an MX track.

Reason #1 why it will be the only tire I will buy for my bikes- Made in AMERICA
Reason #2- White lettering looks badass on the bikes.

I'm getting about 6-8 hours out of a rear compared to Dunlop or Pirelli's that I get 10-12 out of. The front I get the same amount of time on. I noticed the front doesn't chunk like the Dunlop or Pirelli when they get past their prime, but get chunks cut out of the middle of the center row of knobs like it was done with a knife. The rear wears funny. Its not like normal wear that the front top edge of the knob gets rounded off. On the Hoosier the entire front side of the knob wears down at an angle. Both sets I've run do the same thing.

I've been running the MX30 rear and MX25 front. You can feel less gyro effect in the air with the Hoosiers and my average lap times were improved testing back to back with the LITPro. Overall grip especially lean in braking is a huge improvement right off the bat. If you're racing and need all you can get these are the way to go without a doubt. Weekend rider like myself I think I'm going to keep running the MX25 and switch back to a Pirelli rear just for the longevity aspect of the tire.

A buddy stopped by my house a few days ago and I noticed he was running them. He’s a 40+ Expert. Asked how he liked them and his response was, “I’ll never run anything else now. I worked really well at REM when the track and dirt were normal, but then they watered and the track got slick and the tired still hooked up. I didn’t lose traction at all.”

Finally getting some new Hoosiers on this week. I’ve had these set of tires on since August and they’ve now started to rip off knobby’s. Great tire, new gen tire last twice as long as first gen with the same performance. Nice thing about them is it’s easier to change them compared to a Dunlop]

I love mine. Been running them on my track bikes and my off-road bikes. They wear out faster than the Dunlop’s, but the traction is worth it, IMO

Traction and confidence pushing these into corners is better than any other tire I've rode on. They don't last as long as other tires - but the performance is worth it in my opinion. During the winter I throw back some extra cash for tires. I didn't expect to notice a performance difference between Hoosier and Dunlop and I absolutely did.

I'm a little unsure which ones to try. I ride at a deep sand track, and another that's more intermediate with some hard. No blue groove or anything.

I was thinking 25 front and 30 rear. Thoughts?

No problem! Those guys at fasterusa sell any other tire you’d find online, and actually have ridden them all too.

They know what they’re talking about, and hooked me up with a bunch of Hoosier swag when they sent my tires.

Yeah how is the stiffer carcass on the S models compared to the original tire. I like the original wears fast but when it's in its lifespan their great.

The S version (stiff) has far less roll in corners if you are a faster rider that pushes the pace. Better edge grip. I ran one mx20 rear and did not like it near as well as the mx25 rear. Rubber seemed to be so soft that the knobbies would roll and lose traction, even on soft sand. In fact, I developed cracks in the middle of the center knobbies after one ride. They split right in the middle.

I was the second person to ever ride a flattrack bike with their soon to be released flattrack tires and they were amazing. They don’t compare to anything on the market right now.
