What were your thoughts? Guys in the booth, trackside reporting, camera locations, etc.

Sucked beyond belief!!! One of the worst moto tv coverage I’ve ever seen. For the “biggest race if the year” as some say very very disappointing!!

Guys in the booth, sorry fro you got to go nothing more to add than lap times stumbling over names of riders he didn't know. Trackside reporting, what Trackside reporting? Camera locations, I couldn't really see through the water on the lenses.

I thought it was good, and I think Paul Malin does an outstanding job.

At nearly $30 it was a little expensive, but all in all I cant bitch. Great racing, great coverage, good food, I had a damn good weekend. Smile

I was okay with everything except the real bad camera quality from the rain drops, seems like they should be able to do a little better.

Malin and JT were solid. JT was impressive considering how new he is to the broadcasting game. Emig was as bad as always and I cannot figure out how is still asked to be a part of this or any broadcast.

Thought the presentation of the race was good. Showing footage of the local area, a nicely setup gopro segment for the track..

Remembered why emig is no longer commentating sx.

Do they not have cloths in europe? Even when it rains at the nationals theres still decent camera quality. Couldnt see shit on any camera. No excuses.

JT would make a good replacement for blair as a trackside reporter as blair and weege take over the booth..

Edit: totally forgot about the price. $30 for 1 race is ridiculous. IIRC all of sx and outdoors was $80 or $90. On top of that the damn viewing experience was terrible for $30

I normally love Paul but I was getting extremely annoyed with him talking over the other two last night. Every time they’d try to talk he would completely interrupt them. I give him the benefit of the doubt though since he normally commentates by himself.

The rain drops on the cameras sucked though.

How the hell did the cameras not have hoods on them. Was like watching through a shower screen. When you pay $40 AUD then even have to watch an ad when using their app. Pretty lame.

Thankful for the broadcast on CBS Sports because I would have been pissed to drop $30 to get that viewing experience.

Broadcast is fine... I actually like the pandemonium of three guys talking all over the shop. The whole event seems like it's out of control, adds to it!

Would have liked the cameras to have the shields on them so they weren't covered in rain.

Couldn’t see the race through all the rain drops. Terrible. Borderline unacceptable this day and age.

I would not have been happy to have paid to watch. Luckily a friend had cbs. Went to his house. Wish I would have stayed home and taken care of some things around the house.

I won’t comment on the coverage or announcing outside of that as I honestly lost interest due to the poor quality of video.

+1 on how the hell is there no solution in place for keeping water off the lenses; or at least somehow drying them off when those cameras aren’t the live shot.

Regarding the $30 - I’d spend it again. Yes, I’m so friggin obsessed with this sport that I’d spend $30 again to watch the same subpar style of broadcast if it meant catching one fo the biggest global races of the year live instead of waiting for the 5hr delay. I am addict like that. I don’t even want to say what I would pay for the NBC Sports Gold pass; in fear that my comment alone would drive up the price next year. Smile

Honestly it woulda be so much better with just Paul announcing. ZERO excitement from JT and Jeff.

Jeff was great at reading lap times...I guess it's better than him not having interesting to say during the SX broadcast when he's the only color guy.

The water on the lenses was pathetic. I really, REALLY wish I had not paid and just waited for CBS Sports Network.

Another weak point was the live timing running on the scroll at the bottom. After a few places, it went from "+34.546" to "+1 lap". The normal TV coverage of MXGP has the same shitty timing. The CEO can use my $30 to get a haircut. Enjoy it. It's probably the last dollar you will ever get from me.

Thought I was tripping on acid or something looking through all the raindrops on the camera lense. As someone else said, could they not use a towel and wipe the dang lense off occasionally? Still better than Cycle News next week though.

Next year...speak with your wallet and don't buy the livestream. That's the only way Luongo is going to change.

Why would he change when people keep lining his pockets with money even though he provides a substandard broadcast?

Well the bad quality due to the raindrops on the lenses sucked big time.

But at least I could watch it live, in HD without any stupid commercials or some other stupid "from makeup to mud" stuff in between or during the races. AND I could watch all races on one channel... that's not always a given when watching moto Whistling

Little expensive, and the rain on the lenses was a little annoying but other than that I was glued to the laptop.
Malin was good as usual, Thomas has decent knowledge and they didn't really need Emig as he doesn't bring anything other than another American voice to the booth.
I'll probably commit to the MXGP season pass next year to go alongside the SX and Nationals one.

Outside a few rain drops on the lenses, which was both understandable and annoying at the same time, there was nothing bad about it. Malin was good as always and JT is really starting to get comfy in the role. Emig was a bit hit and miss but I can't say he made it worse, he just didn't add much.

Timing and scoring on point as always, unlike this years US nationals. Even the live overall nation classifications were on point, quite impressive.
