If he goes 30-35 tomorrow he will still have ridden great on Saturday. He was the best rider today.
And with his usually good starts and 3rd gatepick the other MX2 guys better get going or he will be gone tomorrow

To me, Cooper comes off as a bit of a narcissist. Just the right amount for this kind of event if that makes sense.. He might end up being our MXDN ringer for some years to come. I'm digging it.

So Justin Cooper was right. I also grew up riding on Long Island and it’s totally sand and the only places I ever rode were bottomless sand pits so he does have experience with this.

Sometimes I think ignorance is bliss. I think Justin really believes what he says about himself and as long as you believe in yourself that's all that really matters.

I think it comes off as arrogant.... but I think he is just speaking of himself how he thinks of himself. I'll take that any day over a guy who is scared of his own shadow.

I think Cooper is the key to the US results. If he rips a top 5 start in the first moto tomorrow and finishes 10 spots ahead of Vlaanderen, the math gets very interesting. I also don’t have confidence that Strijbos can do that 2 more times... jmho

The difference between Justin Cooper's comments and any racer saying that they are the FMOTP is in the results. He's going to have a breakout event here and his results will keep coming. So his comments won't seem so arrogant in the future.

Tough day for Cooper. Anything can hsppen in those conditions. He sure showed in a straight up 250 moto he can wax the MX2 guys and on, god forbid, a SAND track! Crazy I thought you had to ride sand yr round to hang with GP guys?

The crash was one thing, the fact he got hurt and everyone acts like he just sucked is strange. It's like when Martin broke his foot an few years ago and still toughed it out and people bashed him for not riding very well. Dudes bike was messed up, arm was messed up and he still finished the moto and went out for Moto two.
