My son happened to be riding milestone yesterday so he got a pic with him. Said Trey was really laid back and chatted with him for a bit. He was out here testing the 2t for Roczen.

I am surprised Honda even wants them guys riding a bike they don't make any more or want to make.

It’s just a modular version of a traditional designed shock. Showa has made a few three piece body versions to play with the last few years and one must fit the CR250R. It’s not a BFRC.

I seen that but i just thought that was something they (riders) did by themselves.. I did not realize that Honda had anything to do with it.

I'll add to that and say you can put any top level factory rider on a 250 2-stroke and they could probably still qualify for main events, but to say they would benefit riding it more than a 450 is delusional, but it would be fun to see.

I guess I did miss the point, but I don't think results at the top level would change too much if they were on 250 2-strokes instead of 450s. His smooth style definitely gels well with the 2-stroke, though.

I totally miss Trey Canard being on the line each week on the #41 Honda.

I totally don’t miss his crashing his freaking brains completely out some of those weeks though...

Good dude. Glad he’s having fun. Good on Honda for hooking him up!

Trey is one of those what if riders…

Had he not gotten hurt a few times and had momentum, he would of won a few 450 titles. He was on the gas in 2011 and 2015.

Trey was amazing. I remember him putting the screws to villopoto in 250sx and thinking “who the hell is this”. Seemed to come out of nowhere with blazing speed.

Honda has been the most anti-twostroke manufacturer since going 4T. I suppose Kenny and Red Bull said “we’re doing this” and Honda had no choice but to support him.
I’d like to believe this was the start of something new for 2T but can’t.

It’s not uncommon for brands to leverage their legacy products to stoke nostalgia and build excitement without any intention of actually bringing that legacy product back to market.
