1. Whatever the hell happened to this new Suzuki RM125 in a 250 chassis ? 2. Speaking of transparency, WHO actually picks our MXDN team ? Gimme a name, not “the AMA”. 3. Should the AMA fine Kawasaki $500,000 for not supporting the MXDN effort ? 4. Should the AMA take away points from Eli and Adam and, anybody else, in the future, if they opt not to race for their country ? 5. Where are the reviews on this new “Moto” movie, Bennett’s War? 6. Why did they cancel the Pitbike Des Nations at Assen ? 7. If you’re going to Assen, what city/ hotel are you staying in ? 8. Thought we agreed on Team America ?
#1-man, I had my 12 yo son all hyped on an RM125, I was digging around in boxes in the garage looking for my old 78' rising sun jersey(haven't found it), ,,

5. Where are the reviews on this new “Moto” movie, Bennett’s War?

I was invited from one of the riders/actors to attend the premiere at Warner Brothers studio this Monday. Yea, i'm biased...review is from a family man, motocross racer, Glen Helen fan and potentially biased friend of the cast's perspective..

Summary:
Motocross movie with real riding filmed at our favorite track featuring some friends in my motocross family with military special operations units on stealth e-bikes? What's not to love?!

The Riding:
"Most" of the riding scenes are legit, with only a few face palm moments that you just can't seem to avoid in any hard core niche sport that Hollywood tries to reproduce.

The Acting:
Tony Pasha Panterra as the villain was epic, way too easy for him to play this role. Trace Adkin's voice could lullaby a grown man's pants off...Allison Paige could just bounce around the screen and us dudes would be happy, same for Michael Roark for the ladies, and Ali Afshar's timing and comedy is effortless and entertaining. I'm pretty sure I recognized the riding styles of David Cincotta and Kenny Maddux during snippets in the film even though they were flashes on the screen, which was cool and Terry Varner got some screen time. Oh, and I really liked all of the references to REM Saturday Motocross! EPIC!

The Location:
I believe the entire set was filmed on or around Glen Helen, certainly all of the racing scenes were. So this is awesome to see Glen Helen from every possible angle in HD on a big screen. This alone is worth the admission.

Recommendation 👍👍:
Go see it! It's definitely worth your ticket price and you're supporting the moto industry and the people who risk a lot of time and money to make movies about it.

Billy you act like you are Tomac’s agent, give it a rest. If ET and AC dominate next SX season, which is highly unlikely given the depth of riders right now, then there may be some validity to them sitting out. But, who’s to say one of them dosen't break a leg at MEC or in the offseason, then what? Sit those out? Don’t practice until week before A1. There’s risk and reward, if a manufacturer is basing its decision to show up to the worlds largest single moto race based on a corporate greed, then moto has lost its soul.

Fuck em

My feelings are the same for all riders, if they go awesome, if they dont ,others riders go and i will still watch mec,sx, mx and mxon and attend as many as my schedule allows.

Now if it was the Super Cross Des Nations everyone would want to sign up for that as that is a race we could probably win. Outdoor moto not a chance just another total embarrassment.
American riders should just be honest as to why they don't want to go they will get their asses handed to them and they know it.
Just admit they are Super Cross entertainers now. Live with it and enjoy the show. MXDN is for racers.

Pretty sure there’s just as many European riders deciding not to go as there is Americans. Such as Kenny, Marv and Ferrandis. One could argue there is actually more Europeans deciding not to as Kawasaki said no for AC and Tomac which would leave Webb as the only American to turn it down this year.

Right Kenny, Marv, and Ferrandis 3 euro SX entertainers that would also sign up for the SXDN but have lost their outdoor speed and skills as well so it's perfectly understandable why they choose not to ride.

Rupert, really- that grammar.

It's "I gots me some questions...."

Don't let it happen again.

Oh- and that RM 125 is in my basement under a slightly damp second-hand area rug. No one will ever suspect.

Ask Dale j.r. about outside risk. TODAY! Or his wife. Or kids. How about the dog?
He only has one kid (as far as anyone knows anyway) and if she can talk at all yet, she has a very limited vocabulary. However, she probably poo pooed her pants the same as mom and dad and the two pilots. Very lucky group of people!

My mistake, they have definitely all lost their outdoor skills, just look at the results of last weekends national.

“It’s just a business decision”. Bullshit. New Coke was just a business decision. Telling everyone it was a business decision doesn’t mean it wasn’t a very ****** up business decision. I guess I need to remind everyone that this event, this Motocross Race -isn’t in Syria or Libya. The Netherlands is pretty much paradise. Ask anyone that’s sat outside in a bar in Amsterdam, sipping a Stella, splitting a spliff whilst girls on crappy black bicycles - (more incredibly attractive chicks pass before your eyes than in your entire life....) ride by, all day. If you won’t race in Paradise, when will you race ? It’s just bewildering. And disturbing.

Rup I love most of what you say and do but you are off on this...

Why don’t you and the rest of the vitards here take a month vacation from your jobs AND pay these guys to go to this race if it’s so Fing great. You know why? Because most of these guys talking about falling on the sword for free don’t have 2 pennies to rub together much less a full on career that follows basic business principles

Was in a pizza bar in Colorado this week. Want to know what was on the TV? A replay of the original RedBull straight rhythm. NOT an old MXoN!! Can’t imagine why sponsors don’t care about MXoN

Read Racerx this is not new. Many guys have turned down the “glorious opportunity” to race this event.

They want them to represent their country and give it their best. If the riders want to get paid, then they are missing the point.
You should do your civic duty then, and provide whatever service/job you do for one month with no pay. Be a patriot man. Step up to the plate.

I approve this post and would buy the T Shirt... back when Honda stepped up back in the day and sent a team. I bought Honda off the back of that because i wanted to be David Bailey, but with a slight thyroid issue. These guys are legends even now, i dont see people ever building a Tomac replica 450 in 15 years time. Its a chance to show the fans, that turn out rain or shine , to support the sport , all over the world, that you are prepared to give up one weekend a year and do it for the sport that you pull a fucking good living from.. if you choose not to do that, i have the choice to dislike you and hope you get beat at every oportunity. Thats the choice i have based on the choice of not riding to represent your country, and disrespect the sport that we all love. And honestly, if you never went to an MXoN you arent allowed an opinion.

I have no idea how much it costs to send a team to the Nations...a boat load I'm sure. Surely there's a way to raise enough to at least greatly offset the expense. The other noted factors; injury risk and interference with SX prep...are more likely insurmountable. Sad but there ya go.

"Coffee" is what you call it before 8:00. Then it's "tea" till 5:00 pm...then you can call it "shine" the rest of the night?

Just to give you an idea, it cost 50k-60k to send Canada and we don't send half the personnel the US teams sends to the MXdN.

Even double that amount could probably be raised by donation throughout the MX season. Add in some corporate matching funds...should be doable. Honestly, I don't see money as the real reason riders/teams don't want to go.

Add in merchandise and raising a decent amount of money is certainly doable.

I saw that FMF is already selling El Hombre t-shirts for the MXdN. Not sure if they keep the profit or donate it to the team.
