Weege and this other dude commentating has been pretty funny at times. They can just say whatever they want, haha
Being a commentator myself I can agree with what you are the saying in the way that sometimes it's feels better commenting less important races, you have to stay correct but you also have more liberty. You can make jokes and keep it as funny as possible... Wink

Jett put in a solid Moto 2 today... He rides so much like Hunter..... Very sedated riding style, but fast as hell!

2nd 250 Pro sport moto Swoll got schooled. His attitude on the podium when and after being asked to come up (holeshot award) was pitiful. The way he rode that 2nd moto he should of made the most of the podium. If he rides like that he won't get up there in his pro career. I may be wrong but isn't this the first real test for Swoll , i've alway thought he's had no competition until now. Kid has speed thats for sure

He didn't say anything. Weege kept asking him to come up to the Podium for his holeshot award, finally came up and took it, Weege tried to ask him a question and he turned around and walked off off the stage. Pretty awkward moment.

I'm sure he was pissed with his performance, but that's racing and if your racing for a factory team (which Swoll is -Rockstar Husky) you better have your mental game in check because you're gonna get humbled real quick.

I was there yesterday and today and totally agree with DC. Jett is more than impressive folks. What I saw him do coming out of ‘story land’ was amazing. He has total control of the bike and has an awesome style.
Who did he remind me of? A new school Jeremy McGrath.
I go to a lot of races and I was blown away by this kid.
I’ve heard that he’s faster than his brother Hunter and now I don’t question it.
He is the real deal and you guys will see the next ‘Chad Reed’ very soon.
I can honestly see him doing very well in 250 east next year, but I didn’t ask what their plans are.

How do you think his speed compares to Shimoda?
Shimoda looks faster but starting so far back he's not giving himself much of a chance. He looks impressive though. Jets style though Shocked

Theirs guys in the field who are outright faster.

But Jetts race craft and patience is whats separating him from the others. Crazy to think hes one of the younger guys on the gate in his class.

He is the most pro ready rider in the A class. It’s like night and day watching his maturity level VS the other riders around him. He runs the same pace as the others while being patient, consistent, and in control while the rest are getting sketchy and crashing. I would say the only one close to him is shimoda, but he seems to have troubles on the start where Jett puts himself in good position.

It’s crazy to think he is one of the youngest on the gate what’s even crazier is he’s younger than the kids at the front of the supermini class and he’s at the front of pro sport.

Actually Jett was only 35th at the start of OPEN Pro moto 1 on wednesday when he got up to 2nd behind Swoll. He did pass 33 riders...

Anyone think this may have come from him racing the longer motos over seas? Can’t recall if he did emx250 or not over there but I think some of these kids over here could befit from doing the emx250 for a year or so before they go pro here

He actually won emx250 races!
I think it 100% is an advantage to race not only the longer motos but older more 'professional dudes..

Best commentators in sports.
100% agree fucken cracking me up when they go on tangents describing people or things haha

Also the whole telling the kids share ruts and them only wanting to use a rut if someone else is in it back and forth was hilarious, Kelly saying he's bought ruts he used to use to just hang up on his wall haha gold

Raced the whole EMX250 season in 2018 on a RMZ250. He missed a few rounds with injury if i remember correct and finished 13th in the points. He went 1-1 in the final round at Assen.

I've been vocal about how good the EMX system is. I think that racing 25min + 2 lap races on the same rough tracks as the GP guys is pretty much the best development system you could get. I would love to see Max Vohland in the EMX125 class in 2020.

I have to agree with what everyone is saying. He is the real deal. There have been times when others are faster than him, Mumford, Shimoda, Swoll, but overall Hunters game seems more consistent and well rounded. That's obviously showing in the results,. His mental game seems to be whats furthest ahead of his competition. I'm pretty much blown away by what I've seen from him so far this week.

I do agree, one year in emx125 and/or emx2 before turning pro sounds like the best scheme, lots of racing, lots of competition, and quite long motos on a good variety of tracks.

It would not be simple to organize at all (especially with school, home school would be 10x better), but there could be some great synergies between the fastest american riders who are 16-18 and their "competitors" in europe ; many very fast europeans, especially french ones because they like sx, dream about the US but it cost a fortune to change life and race across the pond and in both continents.

So the ideal scheme would be that a french welcome an american rider in his structure, not necessarly team although it could probably interest some too, but with access to house/tracks/possibly 1 bike for like 1 year and in an american school (but probably he would need to bring his race engine and suspensions). The goal would be to race emx125 or emx2 + like the french SX tour in 125 or in mx2 plus both racing Loretta, then the next 2 years the french comes from september to february with the same exchange to get ready in the pre season and probably race the beginning of the west championship.

I thought about it yesterday, why no europeans whereas some would like to race in the US in the future? Only Pourcel and Roczen did that if I remember well, so I am sure it is about cost. With this kind of exchange, it helps the european to get experience and get know in the us, and for the americans it provides him a lot of racing experience between 15 to 18, plus a plan B if things don't go to plan in the US (example: Osborne, or Hugues, Brown, Volhand, etc).

I don't know who in the US could be ok with that, maybe Vohland, but I think in europe riders like Tom Guyon (or Thibaut Benistan) and Quentin Prugnières (or Maxime Grau) would be good candidates. P

And what I detailed is a long experience but i am sure shorter experiences could be sorted too (welcoming for Loretta, in exhange of welcoming to the european 85 championship, welcoming for european sx in exchange of the beginning of the west coast etc etc)

I actually thought about how cool it would be if the top guys from the junior worlds would be allowed to come over for LL if they wanted to. And obviously the junior worlds are open for anyone to show up, but I think it being just a couple of weeks before LL many don’t want to do it because it messes up with the prep for LL. Anyhow, Nicholas Romano actually was in Italy this year for the race, and Ryder D raced it last year.

As for Lawrence being pro ready, like others have said I believe 100% that racing EMX plus all the nationals in Europe helped him a bunch. Those races on all the different tracks and long motos with the whole field being just a couple of seconds apart is no joke. The pace up front is hectic, as again this year we have seen top EMX guys get top 10 results in MX2 as wild card riders a couple of times.

I kinda give that first Moto a wash due to the random gate selection for first motos at Loretta’s, second Moto when he got a good gate pick he put himself up front. But yes he was pretty far back and charged through the pack in the first open Moto

Its not only on the same track as the GP guys, it is also having a couple of ex gp riders in the emx250 field and racing a full season against this competition on widely varying tracks.

Everybody thought an Australian or Japanese was going to take this class.
But in the end it was a guy from Chile.

And the non factory supported rider, Munoz takes the 250 Pro Sport title...

Real bummer for Lawrence, he was the class of the field.
