Most annoying part about dirt bike ownership?

Getting hurt.

The cost can certainly be frustrating, sometimes working on them is a bit inconvenient, but those pale in comparison to getting hurt and not being able to ride, let alone live a normal life while healing.

Loading up after a day of riding and changing chain and sprockets, I actually don't mind doing air filters.

When non riders tell you how easy it is. “ I don’t get whats so difficult about it. You just sit down and twist the throttle”

Having to unload and wash the bikes after im fully exhausted from riding.
Me at 22.
Unload, remove chain, wash bike thoroughly, completely clean, lube and reinstall chain, replace air filter, clean and hang used filter to dry. Wash truck, vacuum inside of truck and wipe off everything inside. Armorall the tires, touch up the chrome wheels, clean the windows. Clean boots, gear in the washer, clean helmet, chest protectors and goggles. Shit, shower, shave. Hook up with the boys, have a few beers and call it a day. I used to be able to do all this in about an hour and a half.

Me at 62
Get out of truck, go in the house, sit for a while, maybe crash out. Head out just before bedtime and unload the bike. Make sure the tonneau cover is locked. Shower, go to bed. Big bonus if my son comes over and I can get him to unload the bike for me.
Day 2, wash and service the bike.
Day 3, riding gear gets taken care of.
Day 4, riding gear gets repacked for the weekend.
Getting old sucks.

Watching a new bike that you spent an ungodly amount of money on slowly age, deteriorate and lose value. It will never be better than it was when new.
I get much more satisfaction buying used and making it better - back towards new condition.

Selling "old" bike when upgrading to a new bike. PITA.

Wash it and fuel up the generator.

I despise washing the bike, but cleaning a filter has never really bothered me for some reason.

Whole things a PITA really. Especially living in an apartment keeping the bike in storage. Would be nice to show up to track with everything ready to go. Should have been faster

Random people asking you the top speed of your dirtbike.

Blown top end. Sourcing parts for an older bike. Cost of titanium. Bouncing off trees. Putting tires on backwards. Forgetting my goggles at home then getting hit on the eye by a grasshopper. Yellow jacket flying inside my helmet while riding and screaming like a little bitch in front of my friends while getting stung. None of this would happen if I didn't own a bike.

Mostly people complaining about owning dirt bikes. Personally, dirt bikes are a close clean up to my wife and kids.

I'm not a fan of riding in 90 degree, humid Ohio. But I've also lived in Florida and I can relate bro.

I think you can skip page 4 and go directly to page 5

Had to start at the last page, work back to 5 then work through the thread. Yeah. That's some HOF stuff right there. Dudes willing to pay to clean boots. I can't even get my wife to wash my bike.

paying a buttload of cash for a bike and then having to spend money to tailor it to your size/weight before you can really enjoy it. In 2019 I feel like you should be able to order it from the factory with at least the spring rate you need...especially since most bikes are set up for 160lb guys... or hell even have two options for light/heavy riders

All the loading up and obsessing over what I might forget to bring. Then the drive there. I’m usually tired and ready to drink beer and bench race by the time I get to my destination 😂
