3 in a row is no easy task. I give credit where its due,. Same as the gp guys. Love both series. And we will never know who is better until a full series combined. Which wont happen.

totally agree , 3 in a row is awesome ..

but he should have won more , at least 1 or even 2 SX titles to come with MX titles if you look at the number of SX wins he has in recent years

credit where its due you say ?? Herlings beat Tomac on US tracks every time they met , accept for a single moto and youre answer is we will never know who is better until a full series combined ?? so how many times does he have to beat Tomac on US tracks to give him that credit ?? Tomac has yet to win a single moto outside the USA ...lol ... come on dude ....If Tomac would have beat Herlings the same way , this would have never been an arguement on here ... i quess its that typical US thing ...all you do remember is that one moto he won , its weird dude ..you people are weird when it comes to being beat and not being able to accept there is anybody out there who could be better ...

Well its not Eli’s fault Herlings is hurt more than anyone in recent memory. Also its hard to argue that someone is indeed fmotp when they cant go a year without breaking stuff and missing time. That doesnt come off as a red flag and immediate disqualification the fact he cant ride at a level that enables him to stay on the bike and actually race on race day? Fmotp getting from the fridge to the couch maybe? I guess i learn something new every day. Eli celebrating another win and $100g today while Herlings goes in for another check up. Is this really an argument??

To be frank there is around 3 more guys within a 50 point reach dude its not over yet but i think and hope he wins but tbh the only dude who could even challenge him last year was marv and the year before marv n baggett, this year have not been easy for him and we have seen roc n marv and even webb smoke him from time to time so its far from dominace this far, hes been way more consistant this year w the headgame tho.

Thankfully for Eli there is enough races in the US that he doesnt have to leave to race or prove himself to anyone. 30 weeks a year and more when he does USGP and MXoN. Herlings and Eli have raced 3 times. One time Eli was more concerned with a title than a euro rider coming in to play KTM carrot. Another time he was on a brand new bike with miserable gate pick. You can call them excuses if you would like but Eli’s bank account doesnt care either way. They raced one time when both were on equal ground all things considered and on a track neither had seen before. In Florida at WW not Colorado not sure if loots is aware of the difference in weather. Eli won one and Herlings won one. And the one Herlings won Cairolli was leading before he went down in the 90 after the mountain. On equal terms they are 1-1. Championship count and injury trends are for a different post.

Its a shame when Herlings goes 1-1, which is tough when you are always hurt, he gets praised. When Eli does it the haters show up and say oh well Herlings is still faster. Its incredible when you think about it even my 60 year old dad couldnt believe what he was watching at Washougal yet somehow the Herlings fanboys have to show up to piss on the parade. Eli Geico Honda waaaayyyyy faster than Herlings. So yeah people grow up over time and figure out what it takes to win championships. The score is soon to be 3-1, and although Eli has no SX titles, I wont bring up what would happen if Herlinhs even tried it because we should all know what would happen by now. Gotta be on the bike to be fast. Case closed.

Again call it an excuse or a fact. You cant argue that Eli won the championship at Iron Man. You cant argue he was on a brand new bike at MXoN. You cant argue Eli has more championships. So its cool that you think Herlings is faster you are entitled to your own opinion. But you cant argue the fact that the dude cant stay healthy and his pace has something to do with it. Eli Honda>Herlings best day. But none of that matters when you are hurt it looks like you are just as unaware of that fact as Herlings is.

They have raced 6 motos together. I love how the completely irrelevant qualifying races get thrown in. Not sure where Eli finished in WW qualifying race even though i was there, but i can tell you what he did when it mattered. First time they were together Eli won championship. 2nd time they both won a moto. 3rd time France and the hoff came out on top.

Selective memory? Richard no offence here but that might be the most hypocritical thing on this site. You talk selective memory but seemingly refuse to acknowledge any race that takes place within the US, unless it’s the MXdN last year then it’s the most meaningful race of all time. You define Tomac by the six motos he’s done outside of the US (four of which were five years ago) but meanwhile 99% of his time is spent preparing for the races he’s contracted to do in the US.

I generally agree with your posts, but you’re going off the deep end here, Richard.

cheers Mr Troll ...another great example , thnx again ...

im not even going to mention Tomacs results at Europe , as he has yet to win a single moto ...

now some real facts

Herlings vs. Tomac (eight races)

Herlings: 1-1-1-2-1-2-1-2
Tomac: 5-6-12-1-3-28-4-5

and you forgot to mention Herlings was on a borrowed bike , came from dead last to win , had only 2 days prep , raced tracks he never raced before .... oh youre selective memory doesnt allow to bring this up ?? lol

hope Tomac shows up at Assen .. Herlings hasnt raced all year , not been on a bike except for a single moto and been injured all season ,last real race was RedBubb MXON so must be easy win for Tomac in Assen as Tomac hasnt had a in jury for a long time , so must be superfit and should smoke em all in sand and should nt be worried about a 75% Herlings ...

looking forward to see this happen at assen ....

Did Herlings take home the #1 plate at Iron Man? Didnt think so. Will he be taking #1 this year? Didnt think so. Will Eli? Again not sure what the argument is?? Not sure what foot you are standing on when the dude you are defending hasnt stayed healthy for a year ever. Of course you can show flashes when you are the freshest from being on the couch so much. In your opinion when will Herlings bring home another title? Hes lucky he has the one he does have if you think about it

Race 31 for Eli and as Cairolli the champ that year pointed out maybe race 10-13? for Herlings. In the Florida heat and humidity in August. Id love to be the fresh one for that weather. Eli won the first moto and then started debating how he was attacking the offseason with that cool $1mil 😁😁

But none of that matters when you are hurt it looks like you are just as unaware of that fact as Herlings is.

cheers Mr Troll ...another great example , thnx again ...

im not even going to mention Tomacs results at Europe , as he has yet to win a single moto ...

now some real facts

You have loaded up excuses in advance for 84.

I love how you bring up “when it mattered at WW” who got the overall that day?

Race 31 for Eli and as Cairolli the champ that year pointed out maybe race 10-13? for Herlings. In the Florida heat and humidity in August. Id love to be the fresh one for that weather. Eli won the first moto and then started debating how he was attacking the offseason with that cool $1mil 😁😁
You really need to do some research on Jeffrey because that fucker races pretty much every weekend weather it’s the Dutch championship, Belgian championship or sometimes he’ll come race the British championship purely because he just likes some of the tracks. He’s everything that I love about motocross. Not for the money purely just for the enjoyment (winning by 30+ seconds must be nice as well) lol

Tomac could be FMOTP at this moment , who knows as i dont see Gajser or Febvre beat him on a neutral track , but maybe im wrong and dont give Gajser or febvre the credit they deserve .. Last time Tomac raced Gajser , Tim got his ass whooped big time but he is on fire at the moment .. For Tomac has to be said he matured big time this season
his error level has dropped down , there is no more choking ... small errors happen at great speeds , but it doesnt hurt him like it used to do .. the Herlings - Tomac debate is good fun , both riders are a level above the rest when fit and healthy ... its good to see Tomaniacs back in full force after a great weekend from their posterboy who had a oldskool beast mode performance , it took them some time to recover from redbud i quess but untill he beats Herlings straight up , he is second best ... just a single moto isnt enough when you lost all other moto's for a reason or excuse

at the end i like to see the best race the best , just sucks the 2 very best race a different series

Lighten up and ride.

Since when did the argument go from FMOTP to the smarter racer? If we're talking about FMOTP I don't know why it's a question, Herlings beats Tomac on most tracks. Tomac can race within his limits though and doesn't crash himself out of contention, whereas it seems like Herlings hasn't learned anything, but pure speed alone (not who can win more titles) Herlings beats Tomac.
