It looks to me like Eli has matured this year. It looks like he has learned when he can push, and when he needs to manage the situation. Sure he has not looked dominate every round like he did today, but he has consistently been the fastest and the points verify that. It looks to me like he has calmed down and is not having the 1 or 2 rounds where he has the total meltdown, like a pants buckle or some weird situation. I know saying this that there are yet 3 rounds left, but so far so good. It was fun to watch him today and I would like to see it every round, but I am sure he is more concerned with consistency and living to fight another day.

You might want to stick to "picture taking".

No way. Herlings is simply fantastic, but if he were to race Tomac when "he's on", Herlings would need to be perfectly on point as well to not get beat. It would come down to the start. Both of those guys when they are on, is something to watch. But in no way is Herlings average day like Tomac's "on days". Not even close. On Herlings Average day, he got smoked by his own countryman.

RC could win on less than perfect bike settings. That, I believe, is why comparing Tomac to RC is not useful.

Yeah, that doesn’t read like I was thinking it did. My point was that he was “ON IT” today. He hasn’t been “ON IT” every race, or he’d be 18-0.
He’s not consistently “ON IT”, which is a good thing for everyone else.
No science involved....
Tomaniacs Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing when he doesnt win he is not ON , its that easy ..

but ON or not , he is second best until he starts beating Herlings .. stats dont lie

Consistency not his strong point?? He hasn’t finished off the podium !?

Stats don't lie when you are also not on the bike. Tomac it's 3 titles in a row with a lot of SX wins. Herlings one 450 title in 3 years and he doesn't start to ride in January 17 deathcross races in a row. You feel the difference Herlingsmaniac ?

You would never say something like : "Great race from Tomac", never a kind word, it's impossible for you, it shows how biased you are and your smiley addiction show how attarted you are.

serious dude ? i know you like it when Herlings is injured , you even laugh about it and delete youre messages when read ..i kow you dude ..

there is no doubt Tomac is fastest in AMA in recent years , but he raced Herlings in 8 moto's and lost 7 ? so in what imaginary mind of your s is he faster than Herlings ?

maybe you should pay some attention to my comments on youtube and FB as you seem to follow me around with your buddy and fellow Tomaniac Rainman , and put down your Tomaniac glasses and see i gave him a lot of credits in last years ... he is a awesome rider , and by far the best in AMA ...no doubt dude , all my bashing on here has been against fans like you who cheer about his greatness when he has a ride when ON and when he gest 7th he is managing ..lol

once again , Tomac is awesome ..his race yesterday was classis Tomac in beast mode ...but loose the bs about On and whatever ...results dont lie .... Tomac has become a smarter rider , minimalize mistakes and get decent results on bad days ..but dont compare his results to Herlings , a fit Herlings dominates and wins 33 out of 38 motos ...

but when it comes to who is best ...Herlings has yet to be beaten dude , there is no doubt ...
and if that makes you feel i dont like Tomac , thats your problem dude ..its just a fact and like i said stats dont lie

Run good on a year is one thing, be a beast and avoid injuries and huge crashes all your career long especially when your ride MX and SX is an other thing. It's an art of the greatest. You still don't feel the difference ?

Please list all the years when Herlings has been injured. Then list his championship year in the premier class

I don't give a fuck about the Herlings v. Tomac bullshit but Herlings is more win-or-crash than even Bubba

Herlings doesnt crash that much at all , problem is when he does he gets unjured and injured bad most of times

Gajser and Cairoli had more crashes , just go back and look at all races .. but Herlings has got some weak bones or so
and it has messed up his career big time ..he could have had at least 120 GP wins and 7 titles ...

but even with all the injuries he is still up there in top 3 win list of all times and only 24 ..

I would LOVE to say the fastest man on the planet is American but let's be real. Not since RV has that been the case. I'd take Eli in a series against all but one guy though which isn't too shabby.
That one guy doesn't seem to be able to regularly finish a series...

Herlings crashed on a table top on the parade lap and is sitting on the couch with a broken foot.....

Tell me more!

Nobody knows if Tomac was just settling in to a Dungey styled relaxed take the place you are given don’t throw it away championship run the majority of this year and then yesterday said “Forget this stuff, I’m Beastmoding the rest of the year”

You will know in 2 weeks tho

Anyone feel like digging some stats?

What’s Eli and Joffrey’s win percentage the last three years? Can include or omit SX and possibly races entered vs races supposed to be entered.

If you wanna argue Eli is slower he’s certainly done a dick load of winning, ironically pretty consistently and very little couch the last few years

Screw these Euro haters man...hijacking a thread about Tomac with talk about "their" fastest guy in that shit show of a nothing championship raced on crap tracks in nowhere locations with no one on the gates and no pay for the fools who do show up; and the best they have to offer riding the couch for the majority of his career...out injured.

This should spark a flame...

I hate that this thread is going where it’s going after tomac’s performance today but I gotta add that if herlings got ‘smoked’ by his fellow countryman on a average day you gotta add the fact that tomac was 80 seconds behind the pair of them in that race. I hate myself for putting him down a day after his performance like at washougal but you can’t ignore that.

Yeah the world championship starts half way through supercross so he would have to start racing the world chamionship like 5 rounds in. That’ll work. Ok, go....
