The MRC must not have considered all of this. I could not find a replay of the moto, but dirty riding is WAY more detrimental to the sport than yelling. An attack, (Physical or Verbal) SHOULD have different penalties. Nicoletti yelled at him, but never actually touched him, BIG DIFFERENCE.

The contact was hard, closer to a racing incident than a blatant attempt at taking out IMO but that being said you can’t expect anyone on the receiving end to take that hit and not be upset about it. As for the swerving/brake checking hearsay, yeah that’s all it is but based $250 fine to mike I’d guess there is some truth to it.

These guys have raced each other for a long time, you can say that the past shouldn’t matter but it always does. Only these two really know their past dealings with one another.

Regardless, IMO I think a minor penalty is deserved for Nicolletti for the post race antics and the penalty shouldn’t affect his racing just his pocketbook. If he can prove that Alessi was riding in a way to endanger or impede then penalize him to.
