My understanding is that he went but was struck by lightning just after the first 250 Moto launched (which occurred just after 1:00). Apparently he's ok, but has a lightning entrance hole in the center of his brain case, and an exit hole in his nether regions.

Not just rain but thunder and lightning and it says it will be very severe at times. How do we find out whats going on with the race? What happens when theres going to be lightning for the entire race schedule like today? Ive never seen this before during mx so I dont know. I know we already had a moto cut this year due to lightning, would they cut a whole race? Does it get rescheduled? I mean they have to cancel the race if its going to be thundering, but do they try to start early maybe?

Im trying to find out where information about scheduling is posted, cancellations, inclement weather etc... Not sure if its going to be cancelled or what, but they cant race in this, so Im trying to find out before I head to the race.

I live 10 minutes from the track. A few clouds but mostly sunny all day with a nice breeze. Great Track, Great Race, Great Day!

I did the next best thing. I canceled his account from 1-7. I'm not sure if that's hours, days, or months...but definitely one of those.

At Lakewood, they stopped the racing because the lightning was within two miles. I know they were keeping an eye on the weather, but all-in-all it was a good day. Unlike much of the rest of this thread.

I was dropping my son off at Fordham in NY in 2011 and was worried about the hurricane but had to make it to Southwick. Glad I did, got to watch Dungey miss 2nd Moto start and race from almost a lap down. Crazy weekend glad I went. From California was probably never going to get out there again. Just go.
