But it has been a fun year.
Yep KR in 16 and he won an RMZ as well. My point was the Zooks are good bikes too. Saying JGR will ruin him is absurd.
There´s teams that do SX only, but none (to my knowledge anyway) that do MX only.
He should still get this fill-in though. Makes so much sense
You’ve got all these guys who have consistently beat him year in year out who will be fighting for factory rides. You’ve got 450 rookies who have consistently beat him and will continue to do so. You’ve got young guys coming out of the 250 class looking to prove something who will beat him. I’m not trying to be an ass, I’m just realistic. All these theories here are simply pipe dreams. When teams look to hire a full time factory rider they look at the full body of work presented by a rider. They don’t base their decisions off of a few races throughout the entire year. Will they give a fill in ride to someone with a few nice races? Sure, sometimes. But he damn well better do something really special with that fill in ride otherwise it’ll be gone at the end of the season and he’ll be in the same position at the beginning of the next year. MOST of the time they don’t do something special because they simply don’t have “it.”
FF - now is paying his way and not making much if any money.-- if he goes to JRG and gets a paycheck and can spend more time at practice track and not worrying on getting to each race - thats a win for him.
JGR - no permanent riders riding. Chiz filling in is only a top 20 on a good day. FF gets on and can give top 15's and some top 10's. Gets JGR excited to get to the races for the rest of the season.
Seems like an easy decision for both!
You need either a question mark at the end of that sentence or a source to confirm it.
Pit Row
Honda has NO 450 championships in the past 10 years, while Suzuki has what 4 or 5? About 1 every other year.
HRC and JGR have the same number of championships in the past 10 years. NONE
HRC isn't a step up from any factory team. I know the old school people will hate me for saying that, but this isn't the 1900s.
Also does anyone know what suspension Roczen was running in 2016? What is JGR running on their Suzukis?
Edit: Some pics have Showa and some have KYB on Roczens Suzuki, I think he switched to KYB and that was the final piece to the puzzle IIRC.
One could also argue Honda has no 450 championships since RC in 2004 because they were too cheap to pay for the best riders, and that once they did decide to pay big they had the unfortunate luck to sign the best rider in the world who quickly went on to have one of the worst injuries in the history of the sport.
I still believe a full HRC effort is the premium in the sport, alongside RedBull/KTM.
