Having him on the show works.

I’ve never listened to one of the whisky podcast (only pulp and dmxs), just went and subscribed and listening to one now

I can't believe Trey Canard could do that act for a whole show. Should be a good one. YouTube doesn't lie. Trey was exposed years ago. No one could be that nice without a bipolar alter ego.

obviously put someone in the suit with jimmy to create comments like this. everyone knows its jimmy, wanted to make you think that to keep the mystique alive. i thought its been universally decided that it was albertson for years.

The real question, at least for me is, who is Albertson? I guess he had some kind of AMA MX/SX career? I don't even know what he looks like! Guess I should tune in and maybe find out.

Wonder how many people in this post that are disgusted and "over it" with Ronnie Mac will listen.

I assumed this show would create a thread like this. First of all, understand that the comedy comes from us doing a serious interview with an obviously fictional character... in case your sense of humor doesn't work, it's funny.
Second, we have a standard of what's acceptable on our show, and anything that steps out of bounds is edited out. You think we haven't pulled a bunch of GL's rants when he gets to a certain parts per million of vodka? We have... that's the beauty of NOT being a live show. And there is an awful lot of distain for Ronnie's antics on here, but I haven't heard the same about Keefer after dark... why is that? Kris is awesome, but do you think it's okay for your 11 year-old daughter to hear about pumps per minute? Or what about the endless number of "Fucks" that come out of that show? Interesting that this is a 4-pager though.

"Ronnie" is cleaning up his act a bit, as he discusses in the show, so there are no dildos or ass-eating stickers in sight. Again, we wouldn't have let it go there. The interview was fun and funny and something different from what we've been doing. If you can't handle that and you think we sacrificed our integrity, then don't watch it. But this won't be the last interview that swerves out of our lane a little bit... next week we have recently retired LAPD chief Charlie Beck on the show. How's that for juxtaposition?

Thanks you to those who support the show and are willing to have some fun and get weird with us once in a while.

Charlie Beck is such a cool dude, and he is going to be a good interview. Can't wait for that one! Smile

Got to take the good with the bad comments I guess. I love your show and look forward to it every week. Keep up the good work and love variety.

It's possible the show and you are great but Ronnie is a polarizing figure.
Also you probably don't know shit since your kids aren't psychiatrists at Harvard.

Luckily I don't have a stick up my ass nor do I have kids to worry about so I was able to enjoy the episode for what it is...a silly interview breaking from the norm in good fun.

I have watched every episode of the Whiskey Throttle Show on Youtube from start to finish, but I couldn't finish that one. I only made it about 10-15 minutes into Ronnie's talk.

A name was mentioned during the first bit though that hit hard. Mike Jones. I wonder if that guy would come on the Whiskey Throttle Show. Holy smokes I bet he has some crazy stories!!!! I would love to listen to him.

I'm shocked 11 year olds have instagram! Doesn't that mean they have a phone? Do you guys know what's on the internet? Or that you can block stuff. Crikey.

It'll be 2 weeks before I can listen (to any podcasts)on a road trip. I have 3 small kids that are always up my butt, BUT you won't hear me crying about the type of humor. I just don't put adult podcasts or movies on in front of my kids. There's really nothing worth bitching about if you have a sense of humor, and some (no longer common) sense. I like stupid humor, but the bitchfest is ever stupiderer

What you don’t seem to understand is that it’s just not funny any longer. Take the parent/ethical thing out of the picture because that’s a different issue. Seeing the same thing year after year gets old.

While Ronnie’s schtick is old for myself and most core guys, I respect his ability to make a living playing to the WWE types. The races he shows up to are still “shows” and he’s an entertainer. There’s been plenty of races I’ve been to where my family we’re bored as hell with the program, and could have used some BS like Uncle Ron. Until I see him at a MXON, or Loretta’s, I say pin it. Bad publicity is still exposure and if that’s what it takes to put ASS in the seats, so be it.

My sense of humor works just fine. A multi hour long interview of a fictional character is not funny to me. Maybe a 30 minute interview would be but certainly not 2+ hours.

Keefer after dark is fine because it’s at the tail end of the show and they warn you to turn it off if you’re offended or have kids around.

Other than this I think you’ve done a great job and I’ve enjoyed most of the interviews you’ve done. Looking forward to the next show where there isn’t some fictional character.

Ronnie Mac is mildly amusing for about 15 minutes max. Including the riding exhibition and the interview. Over two hours of just interview, no way.

I’m a huge fan of this show , but this was a big mistake . It adds > zero to the sport and reeks of desperation for attention ..... Hero to Zero in 20 odd shows .....

Wasted 2 hours of viewers and sponsors on a nothing person......

I cut it less than 5 minutes after he started his act .

You started with a fresh proposition , and flamed out months later ...

This ain’t motocross, you are looking at reality Tv , which isn’t reality .........

Yeah i love the show...but didn’t last longer than 5 minutes after Ronnie came on. Comes across as almost childish..

IMO, Whisky Throttle is the best moto podcast available at the moment. Unfortunately, the Ronnie Mac episode was the least entertaining podcast I’ve listened to all year. I made it about 30 minutes in.

I really like the Whiskey Throttle show and both GL and Ping make it really interesting. They have had some of the best mx podcasts that I've listened to.

I went into the Ronnie Mac interview with an open mind wondering if there was going to be some really interesting humor between him and the hosts. I got 5 minutes in and shut it off. I think Ronnie Mac is an interesting cult character in MX and probably is better on the track and at the events than in an interview.

Ronnie had become a little too vulgar and played out in my mind but I watched this episode last night and laughed a lot!

Oh, and, I have a 3 year old and a 5 year old but we haven’t gotten to the Harvard psychiatric level yet.
