Now, they did take 3-4 weeks for delivery, but well worth it.
I agree, most things are legit and you can definitely find some good stuff for a 1/4 of the price, but $20 for a pair of $400 SG12's (Which the sale is now $10 a pair haha) is a different story.

It's kind of amazing this one is still going. The post here is $10 now for those SG12's.

These people stack money and bail.

When you first start selling on eBay, your Paypal (or whatever processor you use) funds are held until your buyer receives the item. Funds for each sale, in the beginning, are not released until the transaction is complete and buyer has received it and are happy. After a certain amount of legit sales, they stop holding funds and you can use them the minute you sell something.

Looking at the SG12 seller's feedback, who's account is now listed as "unregistered user, so he must have gotten shut off), that guy built up legit sales first with a bunch of $5 sales and most of the sales were for like 20 cents. It's just enough legit sales and positive feedback for ebay to lift the hold on getting his money right away. When that happens, he just starts running scam posts. They eventually get shut down after so much negative feedback or reports (which takes a while because people are patient thinking it's coming from China) but by then they've probably scored more than I made this year.

I know this was a joke, but these are usually Americans or Europeans running these scams. Yes, it says the product is coming from China, but the people scamming are not based there. They just put in their sale that the product is coming from China to buy themselves a little more time with the scam.

If it said the product was coming from the US, buyers would start getting impatient and raising hell if the item didn't show up in 7 days. When it says it's coming from China, buyers know those purchases can take around a month to arrive, so it takes longer before they grow impatient and start raising questions to eBay.

I’ve spent $16 on dumber things personally. But then again I already opened a case with eBay and have been refunded so I guess we will see what happens. It’s a win win situation at this point. Unless they send me anthrax laced boots. Then I guess I lose.
