Roger is a genius. I dont see KTM/husky losing a title in sx for many years. several guys on the team in the last few races could have passed cooper and didnt. Also, what happened to riders roughing up the competition? Nobody has even touched cooper. does anyone else think this is a little weird? cooper has definatley earned this title, but hes getting help. Next year is going to be unreal with jason anderson back.

This was pretty apparent in recent years. I think it was the Vegas race a couple years ago when tomac tried to hold up dungey that it became pretty obvious. Most of the top 10 guys were clearly an asset to Dungey. And calm down girls, that wasn’t me claiming Dungeys title needs an asterisk.

I do not think it is a team sport at all, but I am old fashioned too. In response to roughing up Cooper, I think that he is just too smart and aware of the situations for those guys to get to him easily. I have been very impressed as I have watched him deal with and counter a few sketchy situations and minimize the damage, and on occasion actually turn it into an advantage for himself. I think when its your year, its just your year.

Roger been watching the supercross Movie with all these team tactics thats going on. Poor Marv is just a blocker to protect Webb now.

Eh not entirely, you must have missed when he was making it a struggle for Eli to get by. I haven't watched the broadcast yet, but Joey was definitely racing him.

JS17 definitely did not let Eli go by. He held him up for a bit until Eli made a very aggressive move. Then Joey did check up so as to not hit his teammate. It would have been stupid for him not to.

Even RC commented on how Eli's move on Joey was very aggressive and could have gone badly.

More often than not, Cooper’s starts have been good enough that he shouldn’t need much help the last two rounds. Savatgy holding him up could be a bit of a problem. Savatgy crashing in front of him and taking him out a’ la Roczen could be a big problem. I don’t see the 17 chasing him down to torpedo him. At this point, one has to assume Eli is going to keep it rolling, so it is going to get interesting for sure.

Savatgy wants to win more then Tomac does. Tomacs racing for a championship and Savatgy is racing for a contract next year.
There was no way in hell Savatgy just let him past on the weekend. Tomac wanted that win and was probably Tomacs most aggressive pass this season was the one on Savatgy recently.

You blind? Eli literally hit Savatgy out of the way. And what games was Joey playing? Looked like good clean racing to me. No contact. Webb couldn't make the pass stick.

Idk BRO. Looks to me like the body language of someone who wasn't expecting Eli to run it in that deep and had to check up really quickly to avoid being cleaned. I was personally pretty surprised at how much Savatgy was running Eli hard out there. Racing is racing and I'm not complaining, but I don't see your perspective that he just "moved"



But how about Eli nailing that triple just after that pass too? Dude was on rails all day

Denver looked like all the guys racing hard and respectfully. Most aggressive pass was Eli on his own teammate. Not sure why people are trying to paint KTM as so shady, they are all racing out there...

Savatgy made it clear which team he is on...he rode Webb hard for as long as he could and then rolled over and handed 3 positions away like candy...he works hard for Eli’s money...I was unimpressed, same way mm25 hung it out against ET3 when RD5 was finishing his run...just race...

It's no secret they didn't want to pass Dungey when him and Eli were only a few points apart. Bagget looked like he could of at times, Musquin moved over and let him by.

At Vegas Bagget and Anderson were there behind Dungey and wouldn't pass him when Eli was slowing him up. Anderson even said in an interview that he didn't want to pass Dungey because he didn't want to be "that guy" that messed with the championship.

I'm sure they weren't ordered to with any sort of team tactics, but as Anderson said, none of them wanted to be "that guy" that lost it for the team.

Perhaps there is no team tactics except "do not take him out if you are to pass him"? But you guys just want to see it so badly that you do?

Your post is pretty difficult to decipher. What exactly are you advocating here? Eli passed Joey straight up. There was no pulling over. No fake bobble or crash. Eli is going to beat Savatgy every time (unlike when Musquin laid up for Dungey). Joey made it hard on Cooper. They don't have a great history and it's Joey's job to do the best he can. He was fighting for a podium at that point. Did he try a little extra hard to keep Webb behind him? Maybe so. He however did not do anything wrong. Didn't cut Cooper off, didn't cross jump him, didn't even touch him. I see absolutely nothing wrong with what went down.

You do realize he dislocated his shoulder the week before. Had nothing to do with that or the 28 lap main event.

In my estimation, it has always been a team sport at the top level. Managers, mechanics, filmers, suspension and engine tuners, truck drivers (and way more) all have their hand in it. Then the guys line up and do battle as individuals.

it has always been a team sport,first.just like outdoors, manufacture trumps individual goal. not saying it always plays out as scripted ,but thats the rule of the land.
