I second that.

Dude cross rutted, landed off the track, went over a tough block and still managed to turn and avoiding hitting another rider in in the span of what, 25ish feet?

"Beyond dumb" is how I'd describe the products of the American education system. Seriously, he cut the track, that's ALL that the rules specify, no grey area, pure black and white. Doesn't matter how you feel, how coop feels, out of control/in control...

He had to be on the right hand side of the tuff block and he wasn't

So for everyone that thinks if someone looks at this incident as punishable they must be an ET3 nuthugger, for the record I'm a CR22 fan first and foremost and he wouldn't benefit in any way from this.

Cool picture!

Crazy how polarizing this issue has been. The simple question is: in general, when making an inside pass in a bowl corner, is a good or bad thing to get as far inside as possible? I think most of us would agree that the answer is yes.

This just reinforces my comment earlier, in my opinion. There’s pretty much zero chance he’s coming out of that corner behind Tomac, mistake or not.

I don't want to see Webb penalized as I thought it was pretty cool how he managed to ride it out and still make the pass but in the interest of making consistent rulings I don't see how they are going to penalize Anderson at Minneapolis last year and not do anything to Webb.

I hate to bring the bikes into this.... but all I can think of is if last year Webb on the Yamaha does that then they’re both in ICU.

If he was still on the Yamaha, he’d have been getting lapped by Tomac and had zero business trying to make a pass on him.

The results are final , nothing to argue about.

Could you really not figure out what I meant? Insert “it” where you think it should go. And no that’s not a snarky, childish response like yours; it is instructions to help you make sense of my typo.

Can you actually not see the issue with what you wrote? To “is it a good thing or a bad thing”, you answered “yes”. Ok, so it’s one of those - which one? When the waitress asks if you want coffee or tea do you answer “yes” and assume that your meaning can be interpreted through context?

There is peace, gentlemens we already have sentence; Guilty
Guilty Mr. Tomac
Tomac ? Yes, for being scared and letting Webb get ahead in that way.

I understand the nit picking but Tomac was getting passed in that corner or on the next section either way. Do you really want it to come down to Vegas and Webb loses the title because he was docked points for a unintentional gray area infraction?

On the flip side, if you are a Webb fan and he only wins the Championship by a point or two, do you want to hear all the talk about asterisks*** because the AMA didn't enforce the rulebook? Double edged sword.

Lol I knew there would be thread about this after seeing that.

Havn't read any previous replies but Webb was still behind Tomac when he "re-entered" the track.

Nothing to see except how good he was to still make the turn.

Would Webb had made the pass right then that corner had he not gone off the track?

Answer that question and you have your side of the argument. I feel that the incident and the pass occurred to close for it to be considered legitimate and that Webb deserves a two position penalty for not yielding the position immediately, but that's just my interpretation of the the situation.

Foot firmly in mouth. I didn’t intend to mess up, though, and that’s all that matters.

I still think anyone that understands what an inside pass in a bowl corner is could figure out what I was saying, though.

Matthes said on Twitter he talked to kawi and they didn't care. I'm pretty sure they were more concerned about the fact that their rider was so far off the pace and faded from second to fourth. To say webb should be penalized for a mistake is ridiculous. He stayed to the right of the robot cam by a large margin and was in the center of the berm when he landed. Get over it vitards

Mistake or not(maybe it wasn't a mistake, only Cooper knows), did he cut the track? Kawi are fools if they don't pursue this.
