Other than that, I can see it being fun once I get the hang of it. The rhythms take more patience and timing. You can't just hit a rhythm section at top speed and do the whole rhythm all the way through perfectly. It takes more skill to do it correctly. Also, you can do different rhythms a lot easier than MES 1, where it felt like you were locked to one fast rhythm. There were plenty of times already where I was going through rhythms and know I can do them different once I get the bike upgraded and get better at the game. Whoops are more challenging too. You actually have to build up speed before going into them, lean back a little, and carry your momentum. Or your front end dips down in and you crash or have to jump through. I feel like it's going to be like All Out where we need to give it time. Let them release some patches. It's going to be a great game.
It does suck that the deformation is non existent again.... I'm not sure if it's just me, or do all the difficulties in the game seem pretty similar? I ran on Realistic difficulty, got 2nd, and cut it back to medium difficulty and got 3rd.

Some things I noticed:
- When you case a jump or even overshoot a bit you get a weird speed boost.
- The turning seems a bit delayed. I do like how you have to slow down more but you can't turn sharp or slide the rear brake and do a 90 degree corner to cut under someone (maybe you can but I haven't figured it out yet).
- The seat bounce mechanic seems a little weird. Some laps I'll lean back and go way further than the previous lap.
- The whips...definitely takes a lot more time for them to come back.
- Rhythm sections are super close together. I get that this is SX but I feel like the scaling could of been adjusted a little more.
- Seems like they went more for SIM than Arcade.
- Feels a lot more slow than SX1.

I seem to jump higher and further if i dont touch the right joystick for body movement. In the first one I used to always lean back off a jump and then push forward in the air. I always felt like it made me jump higher a further. This game when i do that it seems to actually slow me down
To me, 2 feels MUCH more sim like. The game seems a bit slower, you must time things better or you are punished more. The standout improvement and feature is the cornering. Absolutely unmatched in MX games. Watch video. The jumps seem more peaky. They also improved the camera zoom where you can get closer in which is something I specifically asked for as I prefer 3rd person zoomed all the way in and thought 1 was all kinda distant looking. Nice to add Jeff to the presentation. Tracks seem way rougher which is great. There is much more rider movement on the bike. Game looks incredible. Cool additions such as East/West Shootout and Triple Crown.
Anyway, just a few impressions. MESX2 went more simulation in my opinion. Right much more and that, to me, is a great thing. I really liked 1 a lot but this looks to be a huge step in the right direction and, in my opinion, far and away the best thing out there as a whole for SX/MX.
Anyway, back at it.
Also, how can we not sign to a factory team? Or start your own factory team? They have done this in the past. There is so much that is left to be desired as far as career mode goes.
The game play itself wasn't really too much of an issue for me in MES1, but I am anxious to see what is new with that. Looks like the CPU is going to be more difficult. With all of that being said, there should have been more customization.
