It looked worse to me when it initially happened, but it was still very aggressive imo. That's why I voted #2. Anderson did move from center/left of the lane to the very right which caused him to cross over the entire turn whether Kenny turned down too tight or not. Typically a well executed block pass imo occurs when the back rider is closer to the lead rider allowing him to block sooner and more from the side. I know at these speeds, that timing is very difficult, but looking back on the incident, I feel Anderson could have waited for a better opportunity. I'm all for aggressive racing, I just don't care for it when someone has to go down in the process. To me that seems the rider behind isn't quite as fast as the other rider.

The person behind has to be at least as fast as the person in front of them to be able to get close enough to knock them down, it's basic physics.

Joe.....the guy making the pass , by physics alone , means he was going faster. He also hounded Kenny a bit before that happened. If anything , Kenny was holding him up slightly.

I understand what you guys are saying, but what I meant is that Roczen had a small gap by the end of that lane and took a wider turn. Anderson dive bombed to the inside keeping his momentum higher, then slamming the brakes.

There's often a small group of squeaky wheels who dominate the forums with complaints and heavily opinionated thread discussions. Meanwhile, there's a ton of other members who prefer to stay out of the bickering. A poll allows everyone to express their opinions without getting caught up in the nonsense. The poll numbers will reveal if we have a small group of complainers making all the noise, or if the majority of race fans really do believe that pass was dirty.
Good work Mr Bomber

The only phiscs in Mx is the physics of testicar fortitude. If you you can get it in, ie show a front wheel, it’s all fair game after that.

I can conclude that 61% (about 480 users) of this forum actually races.

I agree. I thought Roczen coulda checked up a hit had he been more aware. Surprised by JA apology, something is going on upstairs...maubr worried too much about what people think of him? Just race.

Anybody remember the famous Chad Reed "pass" on James Stewart? This was pass nothing compared to that one and the race organizers had nothing to say about that one. It is kind of funny because I was watching with some folks who have never watched Supercross before and they were completely taken aback by the fact that a rider can completely ride past the apex of the turn while practically going the wrong way on the track and then cause the other rider to crash and not be penalized for it. I explained to them that penalties are a judgment call in SX and we have a little bit of a hockey mentality in how we conduct ourselves.

Watched it again last night.

The lap before Anderson was a little further off Kenny but took the same line and rode Kenny high and wide but leaving him lots of room, next lap Anderson is a little closer and takes the line but Kenny does not anticipate the same move from the lap before and turns down short into Anderson. I think Anderson was conciously trying to ride clean and it didn't work out hence the apology, but there was really nothing wrong with what he did.

Meanwhile in the Netherlands sir Jeffery just finished putting in three two hour moto's in the subzero frozen sand with 100lbs of lead weights tied to ankles and wrists on stock suspension and no motor work. Check out the MXGP of Great Britain. Do you think charmichael would apologize? What do you think the matthes nets are for, not only safety but to create bigger bowls for passes aka block passes. This is nothing new to supercross.

Yeah he did. Only difference was that Seely never wined about it, and it happened numerous times!

I remember him demolishing Brayton in one race as well. I don't like Anderson much but I was all about defending him until he apologized for the pass.

I thought it was a bitch-ass, punk move. Whatever happened to passing a dude straight up? Tomas or Roczen don’t ever do that crap to other guys. Oh well, karma’s gonna be a mf

The only people whining about it are the pussies in this thread. Roczen and Anderson are already over it.
