It might be down a couple in the HP department, but I 100% believe it puts down the power the best for the average guy. The bike isn't slow by any means, but the way it builds it and puts it down is so deceiving. Definitely the easiest bike to ride fast on, in my opinion.

This was a pre production RMZ250 from the trade show so its a real one. From what I heard JGR has been doing testing on the pre production and it was freshened up for the show display.

Suzuki built a brand new factory over in Japan. They are moving production from three different facilities to one new one. The 250 is going to be one of the first bikes done in the new factory. Or so I'm told.

Exactly. You can have 2-3 more hp up top but the 18 crf250 for example makes literally no power until like 11,000 rpm. The Suzuki will be faster for your average rider. The top can be down a couple ponies but where it counts for most of us its just right. It has more power than the Honda 250 in the usable range for most people. Thats where the numbers and dyno charts can be misleading. That Honda is weird all the power is up top and then its not even more hp than other high strung 250s either even with the power moved to the top end. Usually you sacrifice low to gain top. The 19 sounds like it gained a little more mid range so hopefully theyre improving that motor.

Regional Suzuki rep confirmed February. we’re considering a different brand for 2019 and Feb is already LL AQ’s, etc... too late unfortunately to consider an unknown factor on a new bike design for us. Glad to hear you’ll be getting one to test... hopefully we’ll see some feedback from you all soon.

The 250 I sat on at Lorettas was on point! Best looking new bikes hands down. As far as performance goes, these new bikes all perform better than what 98% of us can put them through. Personally, I’ve never owned a bad Suzuki, and I’ve owned well over a dozen.... highly underrated machines.
