16-8 schedule (11am-7pm). First intake around noon and an easy dinner before 7. I’m not huge on breakfast anyway so this suits me just fine. 6’1” 225 to start, not enough exercise and too many calories from beer.
213 yesterday. This is the only thing I’ve done where if I’m running late and finish dinner at 7:15 or don’t eat the healthiest lunch I don’t feel like I’ve derailed everything. I still eat like a child and don’t exercise enough but setting the hourly parameters was a step in a better direction for me I feel. Next up, more mountain biking.
Overall i feel light and energized and ready to work out or practice with my band after work every single day. Mind you i'm 34, and i've never felt better.

DO NOT REPLY TO BLOW HIM OUT UNLESS YOU'VE WATCHED HIS VIDS.
I've lost 50lbs in 8 weeks doing the snake diet. I exercise nearly one hour each day. That would be running 5-7 miles, doing a combination of strength training and cardio, or doing crossfit. A close friend of mine lost 18lbs in his first 8 days. My wife has lost 12lbs in just a couple of weeks.
If you are close to your ideal weight you don't need to do extended fasting but if you have 20lbs or more to lose this plan is for you. Extended fasting is the way to go for good health.
The first 2-3 days suck but after that doing 48hr fasts and 24hr fasts become easy as long as you drink Snake Juice. This is what keeps your energy levels up and prevents you from wrecking your organs. It's basically a home made IV drip. Mixing in a 72hr fast really revs up the weight loss but I'll admit those are not easy.
What I love about Cole and the Snake Diet is that he is selling you nothing. He is not promoting anything. He is making no money with his advice. You can start it at anytime and the ingredients don't hardly cost you anything. You can't say you don't have time because you don't need anytime. Actually you save time by doing this diet as you don't need to take time to eat.
Even if you're not interested in fasting watch the vids. The guy is hysterical!!!

The purpose behind Keto and IF, or either done independently of one another, is cellular maintenance and preservation. Diets high in sugars and carbohydrates are incredibly inflammatory. There is a reason why more and more cancer patients are being prescribed Keto and IF diets as a means of suppression and long term prevention of cancer re-occurrence.
Unfortunately Keto and IF has become just the latest trendy fad diet. A lot of the good research and information has become buried under a mountain of Keto supplements, books, etc etc. I have been using a combination of Keto and IF for nearly two years. In that two years I have gone from 205lbs to 170lbs. I fast from 6pm to 11am everyday. My diet consists of meat, green vegetables, dairy products, tea, coffee, and water.I also run 5 nights a week and continue to ride every weekend. Use turmeric and cumin a lot as well. All my joints feel better. My gut is gone. I feel much clearer and able to focus and think.
is it for everyone? No. Is it easy? No. I take breaks. Sometimes 2-3 week long breaks and re-introduce carbs. Eat some pizza, pasta, have a fat hamburger with the buns. After the initial pig out on junk food though, you start craving that healthy food again and realize you dont really like the junk food and carby stuff anymore.

I'm 50 years old now , about 6-1" and go between 185-190lbs. During the winter ( my slow working months ) I can get up to about 195lbs , but that is from heavy lifting / exercise. When I don't lift , or eat right , I can drop to about 180lbs or below.
I have always kept it simple. I very rarely ever eat fast food. I pack a lunch every day for work. I try and eat good clean meat , fruit's and veggie's. I have had a habit of about once a month ( or about 45 days ) of going through just salad's , vegitable's , fruit and water for a solid two , maybe three days. I do it to help cleanse me out. Been doing this for about 25 years now. I eat pretty much everything , but am a firm believer in the old 80/20 rule. 80% good / clean / healthy food , to 20% junk food , or pasta , big greasy burger's , ice cream , ect....
I'm also a very firm believer in eating a little bit of shitty / fatty food's , because just like anything else in your body , you have to keep your metabolism in check. If you don't give it something to struggle with every now and then.....it stops working. Just my $0.02.
He is actually just irritating. Freaking drill sergeants would find him grating....
That is ashamed because he might actually make sense if it wasn't just listening to somebody scream for a couple of minutes every video.
I would like to submit that with the exception of you, everyone I have turned on to his vids has found them to be hilarious.
I don't care what word he uses, when every other word is the same it is annoying, whether it is the F word or "uh".
Everyone I showed it to suggested your friends get out more.

Edit never mind, found it. The study you posted States the low carb group is consuming 37% of calories from carbohydrates. That’s way far off of Keto which is restricted at a max 5%.
I would say go for it.
Ive done IF, Warrior Diet, and straight up fasting.
Its not that hard. You suffer through 2 hours of hunger late morning and then its easy to go another 12 hours.
Just taking the simple step to look at the information on the package you are eating makes a huge difference. I didn't care what I ate....I just ate but as I got older it wasn't so easy to keep active and burn all that crap off.
But starting with cutting sugars and carbs down on a daily basis makes a massive change.
Intermittent fasting is about reducing insulin spikes throughout the day and reaping the benefits. Fat loss is just a part of it.
Calories in and out, if spread throughout the day at “regular” meal times, still gives you those regular insulin spikes.
