Hmm never had that issue but I only rode it stock twice. Mine was a lil stink buggy but the link cured that. I had it revaved by Enzo after the second ride and was broke in. Never any funny issues. I love the bike.

Quite possibly could work. It would benefit those new to the sport or novice riders perhaps.

However for me, I need the latest and greatest at my level.

In fairness, I know a lot of riders who buy the latest and greatest and are no faster than a 55 year old on a Maico 500

I put a krooztune balance shaft kit + link in my RMZ shock. It's the best bike I've ever ridden now. This is the way they should be stock.

If available. I know the Ohlins for the 450 was sold out a long time ago. I would ride it and see for yourself first.

If you really want e-start, get the RMX450, but you're picking up 25 pounds from the RMZ450. The RMX is 272 pounds. I've been doing some off-roading on my old RM250 and I think it's around 209 lbs. dry. That's 63 pounds lighter than the RMX. I think I'll stick to the two-stroke.

I could buy the embargo on details about the bike and the February dealer date if it was 100% new. I mean jesus christ, thing has alot of carryover parts and nothing like holy shit I need to have this bike over a KTM or Yamaha. The marketing and engineering teams must be on 2 completly different realms of reality to think this is a great idea.

the problem is 2-4yr old technology means they will still be updating at the same pace, just set back in time unless its 2-4yr old now and over time becomes 10-15yr old as the cycle is much longer. However this will likely mean a cheaper price coupled with less purchasing....

Unless the 2-4yr old technology means less quality or lower performance, im sure actual production cost of a 2014 crf450 is not much different to a 2018 crf450. And would you buy a 2014 crf450 now? But for it to be feasible it would need to remain a 2014 untill for another 4 yrs, then its 8yr old tech, then one more cycle of that and its goign to be 10-12yr old tech.

As a business model it just doesnt make sense unfortunately

I've seen some JGR RMZ250 holeshots this year. You don't always have to reinvent the wheel to make big gains in HP.
The biggest sales cock block will be the lack of the magic button.

I absolutely enjoy riding my rmz450. Handles great (with my kyb sss forks) with enough power (stiffer clutch springs). I can stand up wide open in corners. Great handling bike for the money. Only real downfall is the notchy transmission. My next rebuild. I'm going to tumble the transmission. To see if it corrects it.

Outside the obvious changes the exhaust exits through the split cradle in the frame. So the head has to be a bit of a newer design this bike is newer then you haters think. Way some of you act it's just bold new plastic.

I’m not gonna lie, myself I can change air filter, oil filter and oil that’s about it, so I can’t say what he did. I do know it cost over £600 just for the parts
