U need a truck. Take back KTM. Buy cow-e. Take 3-4k saved buy used truck. Jmo. If not, still OK cuz nice bike. But small rear end means no more factory edition. Try getting ins. To pay 11k for bumper bike.....

No it’s getting the works, full revalue and spRing, I was just saying why I would not ride the bike first. I also have never had an issue with getting my suspension done before riding it, always works great!

Also something thats over looked when putting heavier springs on is the amount of rebound damping you have to dial in to slow the stronger spring down. I am not 250 but am around 220 A class and I put a heavier spring and have a little revalve done on all my bikes.

Heck yea man congrats on the new ride and once you get some time on it could you let me know a ballpark on the air pressure you run in your forks since im a big guy too. I know it may be a little different on a 18 250sx but im just looking for ballpark ideas since ive never messed with air forks.

Next year Kawi will probably offer an ET3 Edition... George Foreman cylinder grill is optional. I'm just speculating.

The build quality on ktms really are amazing from the showroom floor. The more you look at the bike the more impressive it really is.
Once you tear into the motor you’ll be pleasantly surprised that the attention to detail, parts, and materials used in there matches the quality on the outside. You get what you pay for and it’s very easy to understand what you are paying for after seeing a ktm inside and out.
Enjoy the bike, the new subtle changes for the new model definitely look great

Hope you never have to repair it. I've wrenched on a lot of bikes, KTM's are not user friendly in my experiences so far.

Hmmm, my experience was the complete opposite and yes, the internals look like they were built by an exotic watch maker.

Hahaha, I’ve read this from a bunch a people. I heard a lot of guys say it pulls there pants off. If it’s real bad I will change covers. I’d rather not have a bleeding taint to go along with my sour body lol

Yep .fast riders going through 4 gearboxes on sxf 250 in a year . Spokes breaking .footpegs breaking . Pure quality .there a great bike . But quality and lightness don't go together there a brilliant 100 hr bike

Sorry you had a bad experience. I too have had bad experiences with other brands. Cracked valve guide on a 20hr kx250f, broken 3rd&4th gear on a 40 hour crf450r. Stuff happens but the problems don’t run across the board. We can sit and bash every manufacturer and model till we are blue in the face, but that doesn’t change my opinion of the great bike I see.
My ktms have been essentially bulletproof thus far, only complaint would be some of the electrical connections could be a little more secure. As far as the issues mentioned, seems ktm has handled most of em with select recalls and are making continuous improvements such as the Pankl transmission in the ops new bike.

Not sure about the US but here in the UK Kawasaki resale is as good as any KTM. Only Suzuki has poor resale... Maybe in the states KX isn't as popular?

I’m not sure where all the bashing is coming from. I’m sure the kawi will be amazing. I also have been riding Honda’s and Yamaha’s my whole life. Great bikes. Never had problems with any of them. But I will say none of them came off the show room floor with as quality of a build as this Ktm. I’m excited about it!

Ktms used to be junk. Used to walk right past them because of the stigma. Then once I actually looked at one I went out and bought a husky.
