Commercial says "more 450 titles than any other manufacturer" but I'm pretty sure Suzuki has them beat.

Maybe I'm wrong?

Oh they’re counting SX also, which would actually make sense. I had outdoors on the brain.

They are still pretty equal. Kawi and Suzuki the winningest 450 manufacturers in the US since 450s came about and they are still viewed as the worst bikes by many. Baffling.

Because the bikes the pros run are so close to what you and I have right?

Bro, you’ve gotta lay off the liquor. You’re starting to show signs of wet brain...

Based on his posting history, it's too late to lay off the liquor. He's toast.

Nice freaking bike... My only complaint is what appears to be 7/8ths bars.

Agreed. I actually like the way 7/8” bars feel, but after the 2nd crash on my 16 the stock bars were toast. Now it has Fatbars.

Not sure what you mean by “worst bikes”. For many years the KX450F was ranked best in shootouts. The RMZ and KX haven’t ranked in the top in recent years but that doesn’t mean either is bad by any means. All the bikes are great and offer more than most riders can get out of them.

The shrouds look like something from a KLX bike. That ruins the look completely for me, worst looking 450 at the moment (that is a subjective thing though).

But the overall performance upgrades look promising!

Bro kawi has been on essentially the same motor for 10 years all the while keeping up with everyone elses latest and greatest. Kawi is far from a bad bike

Using the same method as what Kawi gave in the press release, ready to ride but no fuel, MXA has the 18 YZ450F at 239 and the 18 CRF450R at 240.

The 18 KX450F weighed exactly what the brochure said when MXA tested it. 231.

I'm wondering if they could have made that muffler any longer? Maybe Kawasaki and Suzuki are having a contest to see who can get their customers to buy an aftermarket muffler the soonest?

Green airbox is a cool factory touch surprised no one mentioned it. Can't wait to get one and say good bye to air forks.

Easy now. All steel frames explode, I saw it on Vital...Lots of expert internet engineers have concluded they are junk...
Put a steel frame on the KX and spring forks on the KTM...they might weigh about the same? Right?

Ha, didn’t even notice.

I’d kill a hobo for a green airbox for my 16. Laughing

10 years from now one will pop up for sale and some Vitard will spend serious coin on it for his ET3 replica 2018 bike. Laughing

Good eyes sir! Makes the bike flow so much better. My KX has white rear fender and the black airboot throws the whole thing off.

I was reading the specs on this bike and looks like the rake/trail numbers are a little different than the prior model as in steeper head angle if I'm understanding it correctly. I assume an attempt to make it more agile and turn better? The wheelbase is also about a half inch shorter.

Say what you will about the hydraulic clutch, spring fork, and new engine.

My take away - HOLY EFF they finally figured out how to design a rear axle nut without a cotter pin lol
