I don't think you're quite comparing apples with apples.

I can't stand these stupid waypoint races or UTV events. Being forced to do that shit to progress is dumb.

Especially waypoint races where you crash and it resets you behind other riders from where you took off from rather thanwhere you landed. Face of a jump with no momentum.

I love this game. But these events just piss me off. Stick to the vehicles we want. Not shit no one wants.

I reserved judgement till I played the game but this thing is rough. They keep polishing the same turd instead of taking any risks. I don’t know how this game plays so bad when the 3D models are the same basic style they’ve been using for 10 years. Like they are using Unreal Engine 4, it does half the work for you. I also don’t get why the frame rate of this game is so terrible on Xbox One X.

Also can I please get up from a crash faster then Eli Tomac?

I have a degree in Game Design. While I haven’t shipped a title in UE4, I’ve done projects with it. What I was getting at is they don’t have to worry about making a game engine from scratch they have a well documented, popular, stable game engine to utilize. Also one that supports PBR materials way better than anything else out there, no reason for it to look like a 10 year old game unless they are using the same creation techniques and haven’t evolved.

The official Supercross game was also made in UE4 and its leaps and bounds better then All Out.

Game is terrible. MESTG is way better and I hated the MXGP games

Model clips into bike.
Tracks are 50ft wide, even in supercross.
The 2 stroke engine sound in the air? Garbage.

Did not have fun at all. Refunded through steam.

give it some time man. everyone nowadays needs instant gratification. like i’ve said a millllllion times....no oned raved about unleashes, untamed or reflex the way they do now when it first came out. everyone bitched about it like they are with this one. this one has a large learning curve and it’s actjally kind of hard to get good. especially sx. the game gets better.

i mean if you’re pressed for money then yeah get your refund but i encourage you to keep playing it

then again, idk why i care lol

I've been playing and having some fun with it I guess. I excpected more. I remember when reflex came out I couldn't get enough. I haven't had that same feeling from an MX game since.

I went through the Pro 250 nationals last night and some of the tracks towards the end were cool, especially the last one. I'll keep plugging away.

It sounds disapointing cause all the people who hate it are posting on here about hating it. But the majority of people on here are too busy playing it to post anything. I think the game is pretty good. But the learning curve makes it very frustrating. You need to have patience.

Agree 100%, the more I play and get comfortable with the sensitivity of the controls the more I enjoy the overall experience. Just got a 450 built last night and it's cool how much of a difference there is from the 250. Bike feels heavier with more power and is super fun to try and be smooth on.

So you're speaking purely from a graphical standpoint. I agree MES is better looking, but I disagree that it's a better game. I've actually already removed it from my pc as online was not fun and I've finished all the series. The custom tracks all felt the same. Zero replay value to me. This game is exaggerated for sure. But my son and I played split screen for a couple hours the other night and had a blast.

I'm speaking purely as a game... this is a good one. Everyone that came into it expecting realism had the wrong expectations. They posted videos and screenshots for months before release. If you bought it after seeing those and then complained about graphics and scale... I don't feel sorry for you.

I'm agreeing with all the positive comments. It's not the best looking game but it's by far the most fun. The bike actually feels like it has inertia that you can control in the air. The effect of ruts are great where you can even cross rut if not careful. I think the track scale is great. It's in between the scale of MES and reflex. It does have a learning curve and controls can be sensitive but I honestly think the people complaining about the controls are still stuck on the stiff MES controls. Once you retrain your brain that you can actually move and not to jam the sticks like you need in MES, it's great.

IMO this game feels like a cross breed is reflex and unleased. To me that is great.

My only concern is all the bugs. I've been kicked to the menu more times I can count but the game is so fun it's still worth going through that. The bugs will be fixed eventually.

The lame ass UTV races are holding me back from the Pro Championships. Wasted an hour or so on it. I sucked so bad in pro level difficulty, I didnt even complete the task. Not looking forward to freestyle either

Right now the frame rate is pretty variable, sometimes it’s fine and then suddenly it gets choppy. They have a patch out for PS that addresses the issue but the one for XBox isn’t out yet

Loving the game so far. It definitely took me a few hours to get used to it. I haven't played a MX vs ATV game since 2014 when MX vs ATV Supercross came out. I played that for a few weeks and just didn't like it. I switched to the MXGP games and have played them ever since.

My initial impressions were not good and I thought I had just wasted $50. I, like most others who are disliking it, was expecting something different I guess. But the bottom line is that it's a Rainbow Studios game and they always just have that 'feel' to them and they're probably never going to go away from that. Same with the Call of Duty franchise and any other gaming franchise out there.

The game has a play-ability and fun factor that is just that.. play-able and fun. It reminds me of Unleashed on steroids. I loved that game and logged prob thousand of hours with that one. And I'd be lying if some aspects don't remind me of MCM2 for some odd reason (also thousands of hrs with that one). It's like both of those games with way better in-air physics.

Speaking of the in-air physics, the NATS on this game are awesome, and those big floaty jumps really let you hang it out with the turn-down whips.

Online works flawlessly, which is a big relief coming from those shitty Milestone servers, spending 30-45min. trying to get into a race. Doesn't look like I'll be picking up those games for a while now.

Only real complaint is having to do the UTV races and ATV races to unlock some of the later series. But just bump the difficulty down, 3 lappers, and it's done in no time.

If it wasn't for a buddy telling me he picked it up and liked it, I probably wouldn't have bought it listening to most of you idiots.

To you guys saying you only played a few series and returned the game, did you bring your bike back after you couldn't figure out how to take off using a clutch? Or could you not get it started because it had too much compression, then returned it? I'm assuming yes.

so i know you have to play the series to unlock “pro nationals” and such...but there aren’t any new tracks that you get other then the tracks you see when you do single events right?

there aren’t other tracks to unlock in the game right? just different race series?

I believe that is correct, which is fine with my. That was one of my main gripes with Alive, you had to grind hard just to get the new maps which was frustrating.

I played for an hour again last night and I'm really loving the game now. There was already a patch on steam that fixed my VR issue. I'm still getting used to all the controls and learning the in-air physics so still struggling to get through laps cleanly. You can tell there were some different track makers because some of the SX are a little wide and flat but there are also some that are narrow, steep, and peaky with lots of different options in the rhythms. With a little more time I may even end up liking the physics more than Reflex. One thing that would help is progressive turning sensitivity. The slow speed turning seems fine but high speed seems a little too twitchy. MES was too much of a point and shoot game for me which made for better and more competitive racing but at the expense of using skill.

Also, it has a 1 stick option in the controls if you want it to feel more like Reflex.
