Tomac definitely checked up at the end, you could see it in his body language

Brayton was on cruise mode. Got signal #3 was coming and picked it up last three laps. #3 had nothing left.

He made a mistake coming into the last sand section and went from about 2 seconds down to 4. He pretty much gave up at that point and his last lap ended at a 1:16 compared to a 1:13

That kind of ride is why I love dirt bike racing...only form of racing where that can happen right?

Only other good comeback I can think of most recently is Toronto 2014. Eli was really on it!

This x 1,000,000. Eli smoked the field at SLC 2017. Absolutely thrashed them.

It must be a bit disheartening for anyone outside the top (I don’t know what number to put with the attrition, let’s say 5).

You would be one of the best SX racers in the world and get your drawers blown off.

Saw him at the MEC in 2016. I bleed orange and found myself rooting for him, WTF!?
Was yelling out loud, “Go Eli”!

Beastmode can cost you a title or two but it sure is sexy to watch. Maybe that is why I love Hannah, Bradshaw and JS7.

Here is how he was doing to the sand section in front of me at the MEC.
Jump as far in, as rear wheel hits ground stretch throttle cable on the fire breathing green monster, Braap, out of sand section. That’s why I paid for the big bucks seats.

P.S. Supermini kids in the USA are so talented at SX it’s ridiculous.

Isn’t that the year he failed the drug test/ was using a PED?

Using Aderall, a recently added drug that would have been fine had the proper paperwork been filled out, yes. Let me guess a JS7 hater with his head so far up his ass, he can't respect and incredible accomplishment.

Reminded me of Pontiac 02. Identical scenario. Tomac was flying for sure.

Eli was on a mission.I got into a spat with some armchair QBs a couple of weeks ago. They kept saying he has no heart and no fight to win when faced with diversity. When I think of awesome comebacks I think of JS7 Buds Creel 2003.

Yeah it's legal to pass on yellow. I'm not sure why it is , since in armature racing , it isn't.

Was one of THE most impressive SX rides ever. Only a couple others that I can think of that rival it. MC on Peak Honda went from last to win.

Anyone else come from last to win or take a 2nd?

And some say that dude doesn't have heart.
..........and people say negative stuff all the time. "Head case" and what have you. You know everyone probably tells him it isn't over till its over, but hes not stupid, he knows where he is in points. So to get up off the ground and do what he did, is nothing short of insane. I loved the way he was destroying that chicane back onto the straight start.

Sometimes or most times, I don't care if hes battling anybody at all or who else is battling someone somewhere else on the track and I know it makes for bad TV for the commoner, I just want to watch him ride. DAMN!!!!!

What the hell is in his water up on the hill in Cortex? You never hear who he practices with. Everybody else in Florida or Cali has a team mate or a friend or somebody. Is it just daddy John that drives him?

Whatever it is, hes got something up on top of that mountain.

Tomac can ride like a machine, but he only seems to be able to do it when there is no pressure. Unless he just has really shitty luck. Ever since the crap he pulled with Dungey, I'm not a fan. And is podium interviews make winning professional Supercross seem about as exciting as going to the dentist.

RC at the 2002 Pontiac race crashed to last and got to 2nd.

I think Stew crashed in a heat race and came back to win it. Lol

Eli is wishing this years Daytona was 20 laps.

If only he had a brain, he wouldn't need that heart quite so much...

And really, WTF can't he get up like there's a race going on? I mean even some acknowledgement that there MIGHT BE A RACE SOMEWHERE NEARBY would be an improvement. It's like Tuesday morning at the test track every time he tips over.

Someone needs to have a chat with ole Eli...

I honestly didn't expect that when I saw he went down, but yea the experts here say he has no heart and just packs it in any time he has to face some adversity, wonder where those people are now.

Imagining that he could have about a half dozen rides like this in his career if he had done it before now.
