John Tomac said on Pulp, motocross is not an endurance sport per se compared to other sports where you are working for hours at a time.

I agree. Sometimes your old lady wants you to boink her for 30+2. For me, that's way more work than moto! WAY MORE. I got the AC on, 2 fans, Im sweating and breathing hard like a Vegan starvation camp marathon nut.

Ever see a moto guy ride up onto the podium and lay down and pass out and sleep for 8 hours without cuddling a monster chick??

Where is Keefer to chime in?

Thanks for putting it out there Jeff A.

There are a lot of people out there that know everything you say is happening but it is not in the best interest for them to speak out against it so they will continue to deny any allegations. It’s a known fact the disgusting use of PEDs is prevelant in the amateur ranks just like it is with the stick and ball sports. Good for you Jeff to have the balls to speak up

Jeff, I think you're referencing the Washougal National in 2013 and I don't recall you being in that meeting, nor do I know which of them "lost there job" for asking anything. But it was a team owner that asked that we look into the rumors in the paddock of people using PEDs, and lots has happened since then in Lucas Oil Pro Motocross.

Since the adoption of our USADA anti-doping testing and related educational programs, dozens of riders have been selected for both blood and urine testing by USADA, including EVERY top rider in both professional motocross classes. During this period, there have been zero failures. The testing is complicated and expensive. MX Sports Pro Racing assumes 100% of all testing costs as an investment in our sport to be able to proudly report to the world that the playing field of our sport is level and our athletes are clean.

During this period since the time when USADA assumed the responsibility to conduct Anti-Doping testing for the sport of AMA Pro Motocross, MX Sports Pro Racing has established a continuing anti-doping educational program that provides annual one-on-one anti-doping counseling for individual riders and trainers, annual education seminars offered to all riders, personal assistance for riders with questions regarding Therapeutic Use Exemptions (TUEs), on-line resources and an annual "new riders" seminar for future pro riders at Loretta Lynn's.

I know that you have not raced an outdoor national since the 2012 Lake Elsinore 450 National, so you probably haven't been privy to all that's been happening in our series that is drug-testing related, but I assure you a lot has happened since that fateful weekend at Washougal.

You realize that, Wada/Usada have been beaten at every step of testing for as long as anyone can remember. For everyday Wada conducts its hourly routine to somehow manage the transitional stages of Epo, peds, and Thg’s, new chemicals are being processed in ways to hide it from Wada/Usada and they will always be months behind and this cycle will never end.

Testing in sports is a joke and is a losing battle. This will never end and will always be around. There is so much money and corruption involved and is always gonna have a leg up on wada.

Fact is Wada is corrupt! “May the best meds win” is a slogan that has come out of Wada’s Own camp.

Money is the issue and always has been.

It’s very sad to see sports as corrupt as it is, but unfortunately drugs and scandals are alive and well.
DC ain't going to bad mouth the pro scene his lively hood relies on it.

Yeah the money is the issue to all problems especially in a sport with high risk and little money.

My gut feel is JS7 was the scapegoat to cover the rest of the field, it happened to Lance Armstrong and Australian Rules Football, one guy/team takes the fall for the rest of them.

Made it up to page 9 before it all became redundant.

Im pretty sure some form of PEDs are going on in mx. As a huge baseball-and especially SF Giants fan I've come to the conclusion that it comes with the territory. For any sport at the profesional level.

And honestly as a spectator I just want competitive racing with no fixing.

I really dont care if one rider or half the gate is using some form of PEDs, either to gain an edge during the race, or while they recover.

As long as the races arent fixed and the winner isnt pre-determined I'm in.

If one racer is juiced up and winning every race to the point where its "fixed" then fuck, I guess the other guys gotta do what they gotta do to be competitive.

Im still entertained by these races and at the end of the day, thats all they are to me, entertainment.

As far as the up and comers who are trying to compete with these dudes who dont see it as entertainment but as an unfair advantage....I dont know what to tell you. This is just something I watch on Saturdays...

He probably shouldn’t call me, because I will drop facts for a long time he won’t disagree with. Right now I’m documenting a timeline, I’m covering all the bases so people realize and understand what’s going on. It’s real. It’s just a book long message we have to put up and then the real stuff goes up after.

It’s really upsetting I have to make the decision to put myself on hold, and put this problem on a pedestal and risk myself for the greater benefit of the racers. When I’m done I will have highlighted the reasons why in our ever growing sport we as athletes need a union to organize these issues from happening. Protect the racers. I go to the test tracks and local sx tracks and watch good racers in the top 30 bust there butts for an industry that gives them nothing but stress and an almost impossible mission to make the entire season. This all going on while the owners of feld just recently became billionaires. It’s wrong. But the worst part is the cover up, the riders who ride for teams that get prior notice to drug tests while other teams don’t. That’s wrong. If a rider wants to cheat it’s on him.

There is no public information on any roi, this is where we can’t take control of our sport so racers can compete for a fair living. This is the main motiv. As a racer I knew I couldn’t speak up but as a fan and a trainer I know what needs to happen at the end of every training day. The racers need more from this big sport. It’s being ran by a corrupt system that wants to keep all the information secret so racers can’t speak up, and they use illegal rules in the rule book to scare racers into being quiet workers. It isn’t right and we all know it. I just happen to be the racer that doesn’t rely on them. The information I will be posting will change this, you as fans and parents and racers will thank me later for bringing this to light.
Riders don’t know when they being tested, neither do the chaperones who test them. no one is pre warned. I know this as it’s part of my job. Don’t spin me shit otherwise.

Also if you knew it is by rules that in Comp testing at a event is top 3 plus 2 randoms or if there is suspicion it’s a target test.

You claim to always say that trainers are hired to help avoid drug tests and supply product. Well you calling your self a trainer and coach fall directly into that category. So you are now a pusher, enabler and supplier. Or doesn’t that work for you?

Jeff, there are PEDs in every single sport - this mx claim isn’t new but if you have facts lay it all on the line and be done with it and come out the hero you want to be.

Stop threatening and fucking around on Vital. Get you timeline, undercover notes, laser pointer and whatever else you have and save the industry now and bring the drug rindown.

Or go home, cause you drunk.

Well said Rhino.

Observer - once you consume a certain amount it becomes a full fledge amphetamine. Benefits of that include higher power outputs, oxygen consumptions, heart rates, ventilatory volumes and blood lactate concentrations although electromyographic activity will and should remain unchanged. The ingestion of a centrally acting stimulant allows you to exercise for longer at higher cardiorespiratory and metabolic stress indicating the presence of a muscular reserve in the natural state.

When an athlete is subjected to prolonged endurance exercise under normal conditions is highly regulated by the central nervous system to ensure that whole-body homeostasis is protected and an emergency reserve is always present. When you consume an amphetamine that is prolonged for about 30% longer.

Mentally in that state it does nothing.

If you like watching and listening to things like the Lance Armstrong podcast with Joe Rogan, Bigger Stronger Faster, Icarus, etc, then you will also like listening to Joe Rogan podcast #277 with Victor Conte and the Victor Conte interview by Graham Bensinger. They are both on YouTube. They will open your eyes WIDE open if you know nothing about PED's.

I don't understand how they ride for 30+2 without breaking a sweat, don't know if PEDs or what. But for Tomac to make assumptions, is it because he doesn't believe anyone else can be as gifted as his son to run with him without cheating? Is he cheating so knows no one else should be on the same field as them if they aren't? Seems to be sour grapes if the thought is I work hard so no one else is working harder or has a better way to train than me.

This entire thread is assumptions. Well except BOBBYM winning a 125D regional qualifier championship semi final title crown. Twice.

I had a former pro training my son 10 or so years ago and we were discussing his career and how it didn't turn out how most thought it would. He had a lot of success as an amateur, but didn't see the same as a pro. He did make the comment that PED's were an issue in the sport and he wasn't willing to participate using them, hence the lack of success. Sour grapes over his career, maybe, but to say they don't exist in this sport is naive. PED's are cheating, bottom line. I think most sports are just checking a box at this point so they say they are doing it. The Conte interviews are interesting, and I would view his opinion the same as hackers being hired to help secure data...those who have beaten the system obviously are a source of good info, regardless of their obvious character flaws. A competitor will always want an advantage over those he's competing with regardless of the sport and whether it's for money or a trophy at the end, it's about the win for most. To flame Jeff for bringing it up in a forum or denying that it exists in this sport is a joke to me...but what do I know, im just like 99% in here that never made it past the amateur ranks.

There is a difference between Mimo, Conte, Ferrari etc in terms of knowledge and application of product to some clown who is a "motocross trainer" and trains a rider. Yes, beating tests is fairly easy IF you now the science behind it,honestly most don't. Not some gym buddy shooting test daily, its a science not stop on Wednesday and you good to go.

When you see what most of these trainers are doing with riders, they lucky their skill and talent take them to where they are cause its not what they doing off bike or even analyse V02 raw data, never mind know a steroid cycle. They mostly all clueless save a few fingers on 1 hand.

Love Rogan’s podcast. While the majority of his conversations are with the MMA realm, I think they translate well into MX. The UFC has revolutionized and given legitimacy to their sport through the rigorous testing. So what’s to stop MX/SX from doing it? We test, but for what? Are we afraid the sport is too niche and not mainstream enough to do so?

Listen to the podcasts Bob recommended while you’re out in the garage working or driving to the track today. A lot of good information in both of those.
