It's a sign that he needs to ditch the 7.

Whatever we can do, to not credit James Stewart to be the most Dominant Boy/Man/Rider, to ever ride a dirtbike?
The excuses are countless. And they are even eliminating themselves.
Admit it - Stewart will be hard to ever replace, or shut up.

I sure hope he is at the gate come A1. His yard sales throughout his career were always epic. The last few years, his first two laps of a moto were like watching guys fighting through the last lap of an LCQ. I've never seen a vet ride more erratic and with more disregard for himself or the racers around him......esp when he had to start racing as a lapper. For the carnage alone, James is quite entertaining to watch. Plus if he does miraculously end up in the main.....you could also count on him quitting for some arbitrary ridiculous reason. Then everyone would flood to vital and speculate for days how serious it was only to find out he had a tummy ache, sore ankle or blisters. No matter how you slice it, he is def an entertaining character.
Douchey post. Take a lap.
X2. Just another pathetic Stewart hater.
You can get as upset as you want, but nothing will change the fact that Stewarts last season of SX was not only unimpressive but I think most fans cringed every race. Not only for him, but for the guys around him, I started feeling bad for the guy. To argue that James isn't one of the best to ever throw a leg over a dirt bike would be completely crazy, but to assume he can return at an elite level and compete week in and week out is even crazier. Anyone assuming he wouldn't miss a beat has never competed at an elite level doing anything.....fast twitch muscle fibers must be trained continually to stay sharp.

I'm sorry you get so emotional an take it so personal, but James simply looked awful his last season of racing. He was out of shape and his heart simply wasn't into it.....anyone that races could see that. The amount of times he rode off the track and quit during a heat race or main got beyond ridiculous. The truth is, James was one of the most talented to ever ride, but no-one can make him WANT to race again. I honestly think half the guys on Vital would allow their own mother to take more criticism than James Stewart. If he's happy doing what he's doing, no amount of vital fan boys will be able to lure him back to competitive racing. You can be a realist without being "a Stewart hater", and the truth is...it's not 2000 anymore.

I totally felt bad/sad for James in the last couple of seasons he's raced the SX series...or even part of it. I always expected more than he either was able to give, or wanted to give and cringed every time he crashed out or that it was painfully obvious that he wasn't at all on his game. Nobody wants to see a hero fall. Well...most don't anyway.

Whether he'll be at the gate at A1 nobody knows (well, some do...but nobody is saying anything)...but I hope he won't even think of coming back unless he is ready to be "Bubba" again to his very highest ability. If he's not "feeling it" or would be doing it half-ass, I hope he makes the quality decision to stay home with his family. No sense taking a chance on getting hurt if you're not in it to win it.

What you're applying is, Stew was not fast enough to be out there in 2016. That's not true. Leave out the part where Dungey cleaned his clock. I was surprised he even tried to race with how bad he hit his head.

Well, James lives in Florida, so I'm pretty sure it's not to go to the beach.

Another inconclusive "..." to keep to JS7 conversation going. It's like those magic relighting birthday cake candles that keep lighting up after the flame has been blown out. Seems like the JS7 group enjoys teasing us 4 year olds.

This is going to backfire on the brands if they dont pay attention. Stewart has already been starting to drag some negative with them - and if they continue to play the audience as stupid it will hurt them and the brands. People aint that dum.

Myself getting to a point where what James has done for the sport, is slowly fading away and they just become clowns trying to blow life into something that is long gone.

None of the Stewart seems to want to work for their shit, as soon as the sport offered some resistance they gave up.

How do you know that James has anything to do with this picture besides being A spokesman for Bell helmets ? Maybe it's a new helmet that is coming out that they gave him to wear at the ride day. Funny everytime something is posted about the dude the boards light up. Yet nothing is coming from James himself. Let it go and let the guy fade away from the racing scene in general. Maybe when he is ready he will let the whole world know about his life.

Kind of the point, brands assume James still is and will be a positive thing.
