I think a lot of people were looking forward to that. As a long time Reed fan I hope his injury isn't too serious and that he can recover in time for SX.

Posted his bike in the kickass 2 stroke thread but here it is again. Absolute beauty.

Hoping the best for Chad and his family, the fact we haven't heard anything is a little scary.

So many people here act like it's the races fault itself that people are getting hurt. Shit happens. And SX is hard. A track can be built perfectly and people will still get hurt. Sucks hearing about CR and Jon Jon but it's just as likely for it to happen at straight rhythm than any other race. Possibly less likely because of how laid back the event is.

Bummer, hope CR is ok and back in action soon.

But I wonder how long before he down talks the bike and track.

You know this sport is dangerous. This is one of the aspects that makes this sport so thrilling. But the injuries do suck

So the report transworld put out says ankle or leg injury. But on here didn’t somebody say spine? I hate when we don’t have solid info

Can someone more knowledgeable than myself when it comes to suspension shed some light on how a professionally tuned kit can blow through the stroke like that? Very strange, especially since Chad said sure he OJed, but nothing out of the norm.

Very very very thankful this is "just" an ankle injury. Not trying to minimize it, but I think many of us were fearing the worst..

Sucks to hear but when you probably have contracts in the works for 2018 supercross it would be best to keep quite.

You need to leave. This is against the narrative. Away with you. Be gone and all your logic.

All suspension will bottom with a hard enough hit, what's the point of 12" of travel if you only use 10?

The real problem is Reed is getting older, and very well might have had his foot too far back on the peg. Standing on the toes is a good way to put a lot of leverage on the ankle.

Relieved to hear it's only his ankle, not spine.. gotta think this puts his career in doubt, though.

Ankle only.... = Good news! Thank god it wasn't the spine!

Rag dolled and spine injury to OJ and ankle injury. Vitard at it's finest. Maybe people should question their source and not spew shit.

These anklesavers footpegs have saved my ankles/feet many times, no drawbacks.

I just had a complete Achilles' rupture and it's no joke. No weight bearing for months after surgery, and I am still not back to 100% even after almost a year. They told me it's probably 18 months before I'd be close to right.

I just put Anklesavers Fastways on my bike too for protection next time. I got great support from the company. The owner supported me well since the original pegs didn't fit my YZ125 quite right, so he made it right with no muss and no fuss. I appreciated that, and this seemed like a good time to give him that recognition here.

Something for folks to consider for sure.

No one said he rag dolled lmao.. the guy was just repeating what he had heard, we all wanted information and he thought he might have some. You and huskyrider (especially huskyrider) need to calm down.
